Best YouTube Bike Clips?
Discussion
Apparently the incident happened earlier before the filming started what your seeing is the reaction to an action.
The only thing I can conclude from the actual clip is, somebody did something that upset both parties, both car driver & bikers start driving/riding(going over double white lines etc) like idiots, driver gets wife to film rather than call the Police? Even if you wanted to film it surely you'd use your other phone?
They stop Biker drops his bike, then a window gets smashed.
The bad thing in this clip is the window gets smashed & a child is scared that's it.
The clip leaves you with loads of questions not many answers & lots of room for conjecture.
The only thing I have to say to whichever one of the Two bikers it was that punched the window in, is that no matter what the Dad did or didn't do the child didn't need to see/be part of it.

Glendora Ridge Road motorcycle accident (head on into a fire truck ... don't worry, he lived / walked !)

What do you recon ? Target fixation ? He's going sub 50mph into what doesn't appear to be a very tight corner ... bike does a weird wobble at 2:41 ?

I reckon that was painful. Nothing particularly unusual about the riding unfortunately.https://youtu.be/qicjDdBGZGA?t=156

Yes, watch it again, as soon as the truck comes into view he grabs the front brake, locks the wheel and goes straight on. Silly mistake, but errors occur.https://youtu.be/qicjDdBGZGA?t=156

Here is another daft off on a road many of us know well, not nearly as life-threatening as a head on with a huge truck though.

I had a similar situation when out training for my Direct Access - turning left on a narrow road with hedges on both sides when two large lorries appeared in front of me. They were on their side of the road but still, I just wasn't expecting them and panicked a bit. I remember everything kind of slowing down, my hand instinctively went towards the brake lever when I remembered instructor drilling us about not grabbing the brakes and trusting the bike. It was a non-event, I just kept the bike leaning over and managed to turn as I was in the correct position on my side of the road, but I distinctly remember the split-second hesitation and consciously avoiding braking. It looks like the guy just wasn't taught properly or perhaps simply forgot about it. Definitely panicked, you can see the bike slide (so most likely applied the rear brake) and then target fixation. That's why proper training and practice is so important, and even then some instincts are very difficult to overcome without conscious practice and a lot of effort.https://youtu.be/qicjDdBGZGA?t=156

I wonder what the standard of training for motorbikes is in America, or if there is anything required at all in some states.Mastodon2 said:

Mastodon - you're right about the front brake in the previous video, I didn't watch carefully enough.

The van driver is a bit of a tw@ in that one though: knowing full well he's holding up a faster bike he blocks a perfectly good overtaking opportunity by cutting the corner at 00:45.
I disagree, the bike should have been long gone, the van driver was probably having a bit of fun on the corners too, piss poor riding though, as seen every weekend on Hartside.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
