How come your Laverda is filthy then??

@ Fats25 - I don't wear a wig hehe

Nothing wrong with having a bike that looks like new and it doesn't stop you using it.

I am a fair weather rider and freely admit it. The MV has only done 3000 miles in 22 months. However I did 2000 miles on my HP2 Sport in half that time when I had both in the garage.

I have a car and use it for any weekday journeys and any journeys that involve more than one person. The MV & HP2 are single seaters. So this narrows down further when I can get to use it.

I also avidly watch Moto GP & WSB / BSB on TV so this limits some Sundays too.

I bought it for "High days & Holidays" and thats what I use it for.

More power to those people that ride year round but its just not for me.

Enjoy whatever bike you ride and enjoy it whenever and however you can.

My garage queen did 348 miles between MoT's last year and hasn't seen the wet since I was caught in rain in 2008. hehe

Because it’s been waiting 3 years for me to get to it. All the other bikes are in front of it

Blimey, I'm going to agree with Trugle yikes

Cleaning time is wasted riding/relaxing/doing anything useful time.

Nothing wrong with treating a vehicle to a proper cleaning once in a while.

Instructor (in a smug, all knowing voice): "A clean bike is a well maintained bike"

My Wife: "How dose soap keep your chain tight?"

Admitidly my bike dose need a good clean at the moment, but it's going to have to wait until the ACF50 has done its job (i.e. after the ice/snow). Then I think I might pay someone to do it.

I quite like that. Give it some 46 stickers and it'd be spot on.

A friend of mine who has a detailing business reckons it's just not economical.
There are so many fiddly areas on a bike. You've already seen that it took your mate 6 hours.
Even if he charged £25 per hour that would be £150.
I don't think many people would stump up that amount of cash to have their bike done.

might be viable if you're selling something decent though...smile
