norfolkscooby said: No, but he won't be able to keep with those 2 all season. I think he can, remember that this is the first season in the top class that he has started uninjured! If he can stay that way he can easily fight with those two. A lot of people seem to have overlooked Spies so far this year after just one crappy race, he will be up there too.

Have the Dukes got the new motor for Jerez? Not the 60 degree V, but the thinner casing?
Could be a factor? At least in the sense that they'll be less embarrassing rather than back at the sharp end!

Thinner casing will reduce weight significantly since, IIRC, they're still using the motor that was used as a stressed part of the old monocoque chassis design - now they've moved to a twin spar (yawn) the heavier engine means pretty awful mass centralisation. I think they were working on a lighter motor to tide them over until they build a tight-v V4.

Likewise where did you hear about the thin casing jobbie? Makes sense though since its no longer a stressed member. They obviously have a bit of a mishmash of spec at the moment. Wouldn't be surprised if they began to improve as the months go by.

It all sounds like sticking plaster solutions to me. I guess the factory has been showing reluctance all along to accept the flaws of the Ducati & avoided a complete re-write from the tyres up. Instead they seem to be conceding bit by bit instead of working on the whole item. Steel trellis to CF chassis Alloy swingarm to CF Turn in/front end probs still exist Rossi & Burgess press for twin spar alloy frame from the CF item 90 degree L-shape V4 motor now getting criticised so talk about 75deg V Then 70 deg with/without thinner casings Now 60deg Hmm- make up your own minds. Anybody fancying offering them a new design ?

CS, JL, DP all retire through either breakdowns or crashes.
Spies takes win after titanic battle with Cal.
Hayden or Bradl take last spot on the podium.
Or, nothing as interesting will happen, and the same top three, and next top three, will cross the line in a new order.

Rain predicted for Sunday = CRT surprises
I think Randy will be ahead of a Ducati or two, dry or wet.

But I'll have a tenner on him getting the holeshot and leading for about 8 to 10 laps.

To be honest i have no reason for not including cal, and would love rossi to put on a good show (or just give up and come to brit superbikes ) i wonder if bautista can get in the top 6 this time?

Dunno - I reckon Alvaro isn't a natural Alien - consistent-ish etc., but hasn't shown what I would call flashes of brilliance or win / bin mentality, like - I hate to say it poor Marco...

Turn7 said: No Tobe for Jerez, hes doing BTCC. Still Got Jules & Spalders tho Ah yeah - I watched BTCC from Brands the other week, and was surprised to hear Tobe's dulcet tones commentating. Have to say, fair play to him - he was as good as he is with the bikes - has obviously swatted up on his cars and drivers. Do we know why he's splitting his time between cars and bikes? For me, Moto GP IS Tobe and Jules - it's not the same without them both! Spalders is pretty good - but I really miss Randy - that was the 'dream team' for me! Or maybe I'm just getting old and nostalgic
