Love the picture of the Silk 700..

How about a Hailwood replica..always remember it at the time, thinking what is an old man like Hailwood doing entering the IOM with that old bike design compared to the might of Honda Britain racing. That was a lesson learnt.

OK this was for sale a while back so probably gone now.
Fancy a trip down under for a CBR250RR? Horrid colour scheme mind you- some in silver/blue looked ace.

one of these would be nice, I had an earlier ZXR750 but bought an exup instead of a ZX7R

And one of these for going a bit slower

i have always fancied one of these, just because they look Grrrrrrrr

I always liked those as well. What are they like to ride compared to the later ones?
They are much heavier, feel quite top heavy and have rock hard rear suspension. They have a sharper steering angle making steering a little more twitchy but gives great handling for a 25 year old bike. have plenty of power for road use but finding one that has been loved is difficult.

This was mine until white van man helped me write it off:

Fixed for you biggrin

I suppose it depends whether you want to ride it or look at it.

Well, have to say, I've looked over a Diavel in detail at my mate's Ducati shop (Moto Rapido) and I very much like what I see. However I have a feeling it would depreciate quite quickly and despite it's attractions - I'm not sure it's gonna be all that popular.

For example, I loved the Hypermotard and all the Sport Classics - but they didn't exactly sell like hot cakes, and are not holding up too well value wise (apart maybe from the Paul Smart rep's)

Great thread!

I'd love one of these - the most astounding all round bike I've ridden. Just needs an alternative seat...

I also can't get it out of my head. The Pikes Peak edition at ExCel was absolutely gorgeous but at nearly 16K it's hard to justify...or is it? scratchchin
