I commenced my weekend as soon as I got in from work and got off to a nice bikey start. Nowhere in particular, I just couldn't resist the sunshine, got the old girl out of the garage and just went for a ride around. Before I knew it I'd been out 3 hours and done a tank of juice. Hopefully the weather carries on playing ball and she'll be out to play tomorrow too.

Weekend started early for me, trackday at Blyton on the friday, cracking time, with loads of extra track time due to weather and numbers.

Tyre shopping for me today, yes the two are connected but it's the first tyre I've replaced because it's all worn, not just squared off smile

Replacing fork oil today, may as well because the calipers are still to be rebuilt and installed, and I'll be sitting on bike making brmmm brmmm noises.

One bike has a blown fork seal, so that is off the road. So this morning I thought I would pop down to the village post office and tax the Duke. Nope, MOT, expired 2 days ago.... I could pinch the OH's bike since she is away for the weekend, but I think going out for a bicycle ride is on the cards instead.

Great pics, makes me jealous. thumbup

However, it's a bit sad that it's just the bike and no rider. Billy no mates. hehe

Don't start: everyone I know lectures me on how dangerous biking is and how they aren't interested in getting a bike - nor getting on the back of one. I've been billy no mates my whole biking career. They're gonna have to see then light sooner or later, . . . . . won't they!?

I don't think you're alone, if you get my drift.

I also don't know anyone with a bike, I know bikers but they've all sold their stock and bought an Audi estate!

Well that's a lie. I know one guy who's got a 'Busa but after our last outing I decided I'd rather not be around when ends up in a ditch, which he seems to do on a regular basis according to his wife.
I don't think there's a single bone in his body he hasn't snapped!

In short he's a fking idiot on a bike.

Yeah, think I'd rather ride alone than with an idiot. As it happens my brother has a bike - but he's in Plymouth and I'm in Swansea, so not really practical to go for a ride with him. That, and he's an idiot.

280 miles on boarder roads today, rode a mates new 2012 Fireblade on the roads too St Marys Loch. Blade felt really good apart from the foot pegs being too high for me.

From there it was off too Moffat, Pebbles, Hawick, Jedburgh, Carter-Bar, Otterburn, Rothbury, then home.

Only rain I had was on the run up to and over Carter-Bar. Roads from Jedburgh too Otterburn are still White with salt.

Loads of running water on most of the roads in Jockistan so the big buss needs cleaned again.

Not a bad run out for the first on since March and after spending all week stuck in my damn wheelchair.
