CANCELLED
I’ve just checked the long range weather forecast for the Highlands & West Coast and it’s not pretty reading.
I don’t mind getting caught out in a shower or two, but the thought of being constantly damp just doesn’t appeal
Hopefully next year has better weather

Don't blame you, it is totally pissing it down here in Inverness. Has been doing so since late last night. Will be better tomorrow though.

Long range weather reports up here mean absolutely nothing. Weather has a habit of changing very quickly, sometime for the worse. . .sometimes for the better.
Guess that's why it's so difficult to plan a trip up here.

I worked in Dornoch for a year, so I know how quickly it changes. And how hard it can pour cant blame you, im getting fed up of going out at the weekend and getting caught in down pours. It has made me so much better in the wet but it becomes a bit boring after a while. I enjoy riding in the wet sometimes but you have to be in the mood. Especially with being a big nosed t t like me, constantly steaming up my visor.

It's a shame you have cancelled, if you were passing near Aberdeen you would have been more than welcome to stay at my house. I have beer and a decent sized garage. The weather has been crap here though, it was dry yesterday and is like a monsoon today.

Ignore Inverness-Thurso-Durness, go Inverness-Evanton-Bonar Bridge (via Struie Hill B9176). If you're originally from Inverness, you should know about that road and the "Million Dollar View" at the North end of the road. From Bonar Bridge go to Lairg (A836) then Tongue then Durness. Lairg to Tongue is 43 miles of single track road. After that, you're on you're own!
