Hmm, there was something about his words that sounded more like depression than conviction. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Was thinking the same. However, he said the racing is the smallest part of his job, yet obviously the part he gets most excitement from.
He doesnt need the money, has no enjoyment from it anymore, Wife and Family so why carry on?

He met his wife when she was 14! (ok, so he was 18 and didn't "start a relationship" until she was 16 but still. smile)

I think he'll be back.
Not straight away but when he gets to his early 30's, after his daughter is a little older and he realises he can still win. yes

I can't really BA to descend into the bhfest that BB routinely becomes these days, but I'll just point out that in terms of how long I've been watching (and understanding), well, let's just say that there's a strong probability that my offspring are older than many of the posters on here.

My point was/is, racing or quali, it's always been thus. What the flying fk is the point of saying you could go faster if nobody got in your way? Because there were always other riders on the track during quali, and there always will be. So, it's a pathetic, pointless excuse.

How about "I could have gone faster if my engine was more powerful"? How about "I could have posted a shorter time if those corners weren't on the circuit"? How about "I could have gone faster if I ignored the FIM rules"?

And one last, OT, point: this board is called biker "banter". not biker "sit behind your cornflakes and post argumentative st" I would, er, give up posting if you cant distinguish the difference between the two......
Don't worry CAPP0, it's just that it's currently illegal to criticize St Casey on here. I'm sure it'll all die down by next season. Maybe we could consider a sticky thread on this forum as a guide as to what's currently allowed?

Just reading this weeks MCN, and regarding the letters page I have come to a conclusion.
60% of contributors are spineless, jealous, fktard, small minded, immature, little s. I wish nothing more than total poverty and bitter, sad little lives upon them. I hope they never achieve 10% of their dreams.

I hope Casey reads that page, decides not to race at Silverstone and still manages to win the championship. He is pure class, has proved it and by walking away whilst at the top of his game he has gone even higher in my estimation. Sad to see him go but thankyou Casey for pushing the best and then being the best.

I love Rossi but I despise a lot of his fans.

What do you expect! I'm sure Potski has a man crush on VR! Anyone that reads MCN then claims to know the ins an outs of racing are seriously deluded anyway. And the MCN forums are simply there for the mentally unhinged.

There's your problem right there. Gutter press is gutter press with or without bike articles.
