Jesus guys, steady on there!! I'm just a guy having Brake Problems on a new Bike. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyway, I've just been to dealer and gone for a test rode on the bike with the head mechanic riding behind, ready to see it do it's "Phantom Braking". All worked perfectly. The mechanic said he HAD slacked the adjuster off 1/4 turn inside the front brake lever!!! They're even going to fully wash n polish it and drop it back on thursday. Fair play. Yeah, errrr, and as regard the Bulls t......whatever! Not quite sure why anyone would want to brag about stuff they had/didn't have on a forum full of strangers.!! Thanks to the guys who've given some advise. I'll keep you posted. End of Thread, I think??

Would people really make up a story about having a 1199 ? Its a 20k bike, not a 250k lambo, so in the realms of ownership to most people if they really wanted one ???

Ask why we were suspicious, we all share our experiences...you share nothing about even owning a motorbike let alone a fleet of them in the 3 years you've been on here each to their own...I'm glad it is fixed and that no-one binned it riding it the pissing rain with a front brake that was sticking on!!!!!

Sorry mate but without wanting to be a complete dimwit since when did hydraulic brakes have adjusters that you could turn? I know the levers are probably adjustable but this has no effect on the brake pad clearance, unless Ducati has got a new way of dealing with things......

Many apologies, I accept I was wrong!
Really did not mean to give such an unfriendly response. Just get a bit wound up by trolls and, in this case I was out of order.

fastback said: ok, i dont want to linger on this, as it seems theres some odd types on here, But on the hand brake there are 2 adjusters, 1 that just alters the reach to the handle (nothing to do with brakes binding) and 2nd one os a tiny little nit thats linked to the mechanism that pushes the little rubber thing inside the brake handle. I'm not technical, so i dont know the right names. The mechanic just showed me what he did so i know its there, and i know how to "trim" it again. Regarding my previous posts, i didnt realise that when you bought a machine, weather its a car or a bike, you had to come on here straight away and register that you'd got it. No, i dont make many posts, but its all to do with TIME!! But, like i said, Thanks to the guys who've given constructive advise. Oh and next time anyone goes near a Panigale, why not take a little peek at the Brake handle mechanism. Or Dont, i'm not bothered either way. But i must add, the way this thread has TURNED, i'll re-think about asking for advise again.... Are you a professional pilot?

Have you thought about spraying WD40 over the discs? Have you checked the run on the brake lines, making sure they're not snagging or kinking on anything? If you were doing a turn in the road then theres a possibility it would have been on full lock...

Like I said I'm glad no-one binned it riding it in this bad weather with a front brake that was stuck on. stay sunny side up OP

Cars are my thing. Don't worry about it mate. What's meant as a bit of a friendly pisstake can come accross as far more aggressive than it's meant on a forum, where nobody can get an idea of tone. I've been on here a while and made some good (real life!) mates through the site. If you're into bikes, can take a bit of pisstaking (and can give some!) then there's some really good info - and people - on here. Hang about for a while, we're only jealous that you've got a Panigale

Just hit reply, then under the smiley face things above where you type there's an "upload an image" button. Press that, then select your photo and upload. The photo has to be under 2mb I think.
My feckin work system doesn't let me see anything from Thumbsnap, so that's from memory!

Indeed, hit reply to topic and below the smilies is an option to upload pictures.
Apologies for the harsh welcome and good to read that the bike is good again. Have fun with it!
