LoonR1 said: I get your point but to go round that "needing" your knee down would need a speed of 150+ given how wide those lanes are. I've ridden and driven that junction umpteen times, it's posted as a 50 limit, if you tried it at 150mph you'd end up on the outskirts of St Albans.

Funny, i used to insist on boiling the edges of my tyres on principle when i was younger. Now i just get on the bike and ride the bloody thing. I may have strips on the blade atm, i may not. I honestly have no idea.

I'm only using the xr400 atm, one minute it's fine here then the next it's coming down sideways.

Wow, a chance for BN to post up some Portimao trackday footage of how to do get your knee down and he passes it by

Yup because it means my fat arse is indoors weighing it down

Looks the same as my Pan Ian, oddly my 14 has bigger strips currently as I'm not riding it enough.

Slower, flicky corners, faster sweeping corners and a jump all in one lap. It's a bloody amazing place.

When I've got Oulton on my doorstep and Anglesey and Donington less than 2 hours away then Cadwell isn't worth bothering with. It's not in the same league as those tracks IMO.

Always wanted try Cadwell, but pretty much everyone I have spoken to said I would be crazy to drive past Oulton to get to it. As for knee down I don't see the appeal, I am a bolt upright rider even on trackdays. Believe it or not, I actually made an effort to lean more in this corner as I saw the photog aiming at me and I wanted a good pic. Still get tyres looking like this at the end of the day, but I would be lying if I said part of the reason wasn't the lower tyre pressures being run on the track. Going by this pic, the yokes could do with dropping to get more weight on the front, but I just can't be bothered.

Never had this worry on my old Dunlop TT100s Just ride within your limits and take a file to those pesky strips. Interested about lowering pressures whilst on the track. My Street Triple is down right lethal if the front is a couple of PSI down from what it should be.
