My Lexmoto Venom 125cc

14 litre tank - 1.6 litre reserve

I usually fill up with ~11 litres and achieve ~300 miles which is 124.09MPG - that's pinning the throttle around town

on a longer run I may get more miles ? but i'm not sure as it'll be sat on the redline for mile after mile, anyone else have experience on that
Around town riding is bad on fuel economy as it's usually quite stop/start lots of braking and accelerating whereas as longer runs on A roads and things is much smoother. If I'm just sat on the motorway there's rarely and need to change gear or tap the brakes and my fuel light won't even start flashing until the sort of miles I'd be running dry on doing my commute.

Between ~110 (I ran out) and >200miles (I still had some left) out of the VFR750F but normally about 130

20l tank, so that's between 25mpg and 45mpg and mostly about 30mpg or so.

For some reason I get much better mpg when it's wet.... wink

My MPG is dreadful but then I didn't buy the bike for good fuel economy.

KTM SMR 950, I get 80 miles to a tank when commuting never above 3rd, so that puts me around 26.7 mpg. When on a run can squeeze 110 out of tank, so that puts me slightly above 30 mpg.

K1300S running on Tesco 99RON

My commute each way consists of 20 miles of country A and B roads, 40 miles of dual carriageway/motorway and 15 miles into the centre of London, all done at speeds that would get me lots of points but should let me keep my license.

I fill up each day and consistently get:
- 151 miles between fill ups – reserve light not on and between 45 and 60 miles left on computer.
- 49 or 50mpg

I have, on a couple of occasions, run a tank to 200 miles before filling with the range computer showing between 2 and 5 miles left. I’ve never been brave enough to go beyond that!

Bike mag, and it was a (ER6F,) ZX-10 and 250R that they tested also. (Assuming we read the same article)
Before I get mauled by the dreaded thread resurrection police/holy batmen etc, does anyone know which mag/issue this was in?
Anyone?

IAAFC, my Street Triple does 45mpg everywhere, possibly 47.9 on a longer run. Previous Daytona 675 got 55mpg easily, although I reckon I'm a lot faster on the Street spin

How many miles have you done in total? If it is quite a lot then how has it coped with it, reliability wise?

Just hit 2000 miles no reliability issues at all, the manual choke took some getting used too, other than that ive changed the oil three times and adjusted the chain accordingly and its great

ive ridden into London and further down south many times and not feared being stranded

You have to fill up every day you commute? Sounds mighty irritating, especially if you've made an effort to get a move on.

Range on some of these is terrible, seems like only the 125s have anything decent.

Did you miss the bit that said 151 miles between fill ups? If I didn't fill up every day then but went for every other day I'd need a 302 mile range as a minimum.

My bike range is 200 miles which I think is pretty decent and better than most 125s I can think of.

Exactly, and it doesn't seem widely available outside 125s. I presumably hate filling up more than most and don't even do it very often.

Slightly OT but David, how many miles do you put on a bike before you change them? You have about the same commute as me, and though I would love to do it on a bike, but 32k miles a year and the associated service/tyres/cost makes it rather unattractive!

On my VFR750 I get an easy 150 miles to a tank, after that it all depends how its been ridden, but I could probably get 180 miles if I was gently on the throttle.

The TDM850 I commuted on for a while was much better than the VFR which was a bonus. I just couldn't get on with how slow it was.

But literately thinking about it now I've just realised that while I thought at the time I was getting ~45mpg 'ish, due to the smaller front wheel and the speedo over-reading I was probably also getting 38mpg.

My 13b model R1 is bloody awful. My tablog range is 90-130 (in rare cases) all motorway riding (why the hell would I do that?) And I can get around 150miles.
