Pothole said: There are old bikers and bold bikers, there are no old, bold bikers... misunderstood genius - I am off to watch that espisode on youtube right now. Also it is worth bearing in mind that many bikers do unfortunately talk a load of old rubbish, your first track day will probably highlight this distinctly........ as you ride round the outside of the guy that was offering suspension tweeking tips and telling you how he is spinning up the rear on to the back straight.

This is balls. I don't think it is. Maybe the crashing bit, but surely everyone has dropped their bike... right? RIGHT?

I did both within a week.
Certainly softened the blow of dropping it.

There are only two sort of motorcyclists, those who have crashed, and those who are going to...;-)

A £5 says I'm right. I'm not sure that I saw a report saying BMW were looking at a 3 cyl 675cc job (surprise surprise ) ...and by the way I can't believe that a thread about some 4 wheel motoring journo learning to ride a bike has sparked 270 (+1) replies over 14 pages !

I'd buy one (as long as you don't alter the wording AT ALL)....and you can hold me to that. Don't worry PH will never use that. I think they just gave up after not listening to any of the biker banter feedback before doing the first lot of BB PH gear, then could not be bothered to reply to questions about the stuff they produced

In the interests of full disclosure, I was riding to a mate's house, which is at the top of a bloody massive hill, then you have to turn right in to his road. I'd been riding for, ooo, about 45 minutes (as in, 45 minutes after my Mod 2), slowed to turn. Slowed LOTS because of the hill, wobbled, foot out, no hope, SMASH. Tears. Swearing. Laughing from mates. Bastids.

The 675-3 pot rumour seems to have started back in 2008 & covered by MCN.

Glade said: 72 actually iirc There's a reason that the minitwins class power limit is 72 - and that's because it's unlikely they'll be 72 from the shop. My curvy needed a good few tweaks to get it there. While I dislike the SV generally, I did fine I improved my racing a fair bit when I was racing it.
