Get in touch with Marinus at http://www.m-moto.co.uk/

If it can be done, he will get you up and running again.

He's done a lot of work for me and even came to pick my bike up when I dumped it in a field.

Right I'm back. Taken the sprocket cover off, and the dirt and grime on the bottom of the sprocket is un believable.

I'll clean it all out, what should I do now?

If it comes to it I will, but I would like to do it myself for 2 reasons.

1. Cheaper, I don't have a job anymore, so I want to keep costs down.
2. Learn more.

I posted but it didn't work.. Again..

He's got this far he doesn't need to call in a mechanic, just yet.

Get some brake cleaner and give the whole lot a bloody good clean out then try and get the pushrod moving, grease it up and play with it till it frees.

I am in West London. Hillingdon.

I have e-mailed him to ask for a quote, just in case.

Can you remove the pushrod and check if there is any gunk behind it?

Without sounding like a total noob, the pushrod is the arm on the engine?

Well you have the arm then there will be a pushrod behind the cover you took off ??

Never touched one of these engines. Pic?

Ah, gets more involved you'll have to take the clutch cover off to get at the clutch mechanism.

I take it it's a wet clutch, you'll lose some oil. Try and lean it away from you or on the stand it may help to keep the oil in the engine.

Oh god.

This can only go wrong.
Right, I'll go out in a bit and attempt to take off the clutch cover.

Sorry to disappoint.

Thanks for all your help though mate, if I had more mechanical knowledge I would have gone a head with it.

Wet clutch? I'm sure I've read using the wrong oil can cause these to slip badly!

You weren't using car oil in the bike were you?
