Classics on The Common - Harpenden last night

Never been to this event before , ive been missing out, rode down with my cousin on his Sportclassic, lovely looking bit of kit .

The quality and quantity of everything was amazing, from military vehicles, to the Lancia, Lotus Carlton…right down to immaculate 1.6L MK Escorts…

Loads of bikes of all types , scooters, you name it …ive never seen a Boss Hoss on the road before, let alone seeing one burning up and down Harpenden High street.

The whole thing took on a bit of a European relaxed atmosphere for a while after 9pm and the police turned a blind eye everything from Lambo’s to MK1 RS Escorts burning out up and down the road…really superb..

Best event ive been to of this type ..and it was all free if you really didn’t want to make a donation..

The LC was a minter , the RG not quite so, had RGV running gear which always spoils it for me but im sure its better on the road for it.

Ooh. 3.1 Capri and HSR Chevette.

I remember seeing a 3.1 Capri at a scrap yard in about 92 and even then thinking how sad it was. Ultra rare.

Theers a a fair few sites...just have to do a search or even better, attend a couple, then you get to hear about the ones coming up, along with if they are or are not worth bothering going along too
