Hello Chaps,
Sorry i've not been on here for a while! Thank you for your kind words, you know how to make a girl blush
So yeah, to confirm some things:
1) I HAVE bought an 899 Panigle.
I LOVE THIS BIKE. So much more than the 1199 - I'd almost fallen out of love with road riding on the s1000rr as its SOO fast, you can never really push it and pin the throttle. The little 899 is a hoot - lovely sound (i know it sounds st on the mic but trying to rectify that), lovely power - sexy as hell and i've never owned an 'exotic' before or a twin so its something new for me to explore and re-ignite my love of riding on the UK nanny state, pothole ridden excuse they call 'roads'.
I never intended to buy one - EVER. but after that test ride - i could not resist
Videos coming up v soon - 1. running in period and collection and 2. Spanking it around oxfordshire in the sunshine after 1st service.
2) Almeria tyre - yes, hideous. Still, one positive is i know that tyres can take way more abuse than i thought. I was always a little paranoid about age, wear etc. but think this has made me calm down a bit which is good.
3) Superduke 1290r - Yes, i have been selected to run the bike for the summer and take part in 'challenges' - no idea what they are yet - in order to let the public decide who wins the bike at the end of the summer. YOU BETTER VOTE FOR ME!
Im sure KTM are not that happy about me ranting on about how good the Ducati is - but i'm sure they exposure from the vids i do on it will keep them happy. I'm not sure how much control they will have over the content as i need to issue it to them to post on their social media pages - but as always, i will try and be as upfront as possible and tell it how it is. Lets hope for thier sake i like it!
Im excited about getting it now, especially as its another twin which im loving right now over the in-line 4's im used to riding.
4) Suzuki - I still have the k7 1000 but the SRAD went over a year ago now to a young club racer who is doing really well on her - this makes me happy.
5) Track days. I'm off to Donnington next week on the CBR for a start of season 'shakedown' before heading back to Almeria at the end of the month (im bringin some spare tyres
Thanks chaps and its really helpful to read all the feedback on here as i can then learn from it and hopefully give you more of what you like to see in the videos... that sounded well gay. My apologies.
