Power Pures?

Really?

And you're surprised they are st!
Yes, I am surprised as the Power Pilots they replaced in the range were superb.

Wouldn't mind those tyres Si please... smile
All yours as per the texts.
I'm surprised at that. I replaced my old 2CT's with some Power Pure 2CT's and they're just as good, if not better in my experience. Giving great mileage too, approx 3000 so far.

I just got 17k out of my PR3's on my SV650.
Including an alps/italian trip.
They are 0.5 above the wear markers, about to be replaced with the same again.
Insane!!! Any pics?

I don't want mileage though. I want tyres that work for me. They will be fine but they just don't work for me. The Pirellis that I had on before we're incredible and they'll be going straight onto the new bike I get for next year.

It'll be interesting to see what Mr OCD thinks of the "lightly" scrubbed set he picked up off me.

Indeed... I'm actually little weary about fitting them as I love the feel of the PR3's on the R1 but I'm going to fit them next weekend (ran out of time yesterday) and give them a good run... If I'm not keen will put them on Wife's bike and get me a new set of PR3.

Out of curiosity what pressures did you run? Apparently common complaint of lack of feel from front is due to low pressure. The LLT means they need higher pressures than usual...

Lightly scrubbed? I dread to think what heavily scrubbed is... wink

Standard 36 front and 42 rear on the road.

Something like 24 front and rear cold on track.

Road pressures are fine but track seems a bit low? I use 29-30 on track myself...

I've got another fking puncture! frown

My rear last year at less miles than OCD's wink

Dead from a piece of metal that resulted in 2 exit wounds on the inside, otherwise it was close to the TWI's.

That looks like it has been run at low pressure... What tyre pressure have you been running?

Put a pair of PR3's on my hornet 7000miles ago, only use it for commuting but on good bendy fast roads. Rear is looking like it is due a change soon. Still miles better life than the bridgestones that came on the bike and only lasted 3000.

It hadn't, until the said hole appeared whilst on the motorway, and I had to get to a safe place on a flat tyre.

All the nicks started in the last 1k miles on it's life, when it was near it's end. But the current on I have on at the moment started to get small nicks last weekend after long runs on French motorway.

Yep that is what is happening to mine ... already fixed one puncture ... now got another (very very slow) but noticing lost's of nicks appearing in the tyre ... it seems to be shredding a bit as well.

They are coming off Saturday.

The snow was freezing on visor yesterday but the only squirm I've had from my pr3s was on a hairpin where a car had previously burned out and melted the road. Love them

Here are mine at 7000miles, fitted after getting through the OEM Bridgestones in 3000miles. Grip has dropped off a lot in the last 500miles. I've only been riding 18months on a learner 600 and have had it spin up a few times on the commute in recent weeks.
