3doorPete said: The first rule of fast antisocial early morning riding is to ride near a major bike event, but not take part, young Padawan. All local police resources will be tied up policing the Ace Cafe to Brighton run. That means carte blanche to outragously blast from Sevenoaks to Eastbourne free from fuzz attention and speed traps. Enjoy pete

Went to Halton Gill in the Yorkshire Dales; some stunning scenery. Visited a few other lovely little places as well.

VB is picking the car up for me, he'll be the first one to drive it! I can see it turning into another 'project' as I find bits that need doing and go overboard!

I shall shortly be riding home from Canary Wharf to West London. Looks like a great evening for it, and this morning was a great ride in, albeit a bit chilly at 5am. Lovely sunrise and fab viuews over teh Smoke, but winter is a-comin', that's fer sure.

Didn't have time to make Oulton, cos my bro came up from the Midlands last night so went for a run in east & north yorks. Gorgeous weather and some courteous driving from some our 4 wheeled brethren today too.

Ride out to (edited for a reason) went for a Top Gun need for speed, but my battery was flat!
After I got a jump I hammered it to Bury St Edmunds, via A10 and Soham, and bought a battery, after I got a jump start.

Strangely I went back to the same shop (as there is not much choice) and they were completely the opposite to yesterday. "Hello sir" "Of course we can, here have a seat. Coffee, soft drink" "You're battery is flat? Ok, I'll get my car and jump it for you" then they all stood outside and waved me off. Or they were doing the coffee bean sign. I'm not sure. Cretin.

Good luck to the guy going through London Bridge at 12:30 today, hope you found a petrol station And to the guy at Vauxhall around 18:00, yes her platform shoes were ridiculous. Christ it was hot on a bike in London today.

Bikey for me - had the Hornet MOT'd yesterday with no problems Took a Monster 1100 for a test ride today and had a blast down to Loomies. Addicted to the sound of the termi exhausts, they sound like thunder Also had a drool over the 1199, maybe in a year or two

Tip of the day:
It is cold at night. No matter what, the bike jacket will not keep you warm when you have shorts on. Wear trousers.
My god it's cold.

My god it's cold. Riding to work yesterday Sucked the big one. It has made me ill! Went out with summer textiles on with a t-shirt and thong underneath. Cold cold cold. Did I mention it sucked? Well it did. Now I have a hideous cough and I don't want to go outside this morning
