No idea what the best rubber is mind you,
Me neither, I've used a couple of sets of Rosso Corsa's and they seem very good. Have you run the bike in slick mode yet ?.

My Mille came on K3's & I've since given them away.

Always get on well with Sticky Pirelli's personally.

No idea what the best rubber is mind you, it seems to depend on what you read and how they feel for you, it is still on the std Metzeler Racetecs K3's, i have never used them before but they do seem to be very good in the 60 miles I have done so far and look like they have taken some punishment already and still 500 - 1000 miles left in them I reckon
We used to have a lot of people request the K3s at point of ordering, although now most people seem to want the conti attack 3s. I imagine with the extra tread they have better wet road holding smile

I have Supercorsa's & they seem excellent in the dry (crap in the wet though).

Not unlocked it yet, got the red plug but have been advised not to by local Motorrad as unless ridden hard all the time it causes problems like oiling the plugs!?!?

biggrin. I'd say if you intend to keep it for a few years buy a Fireblade. Rightly or wrongly I have a feeling the BMW might be high maintenance when it's got a few miles on it.

what do you ride Blade 7. i'm thinking about the fireblade but i thought the traction control on the BMW might get me out of trouble.

Ran my one on K3s for 2 years. Always in race mode as I preferred the throttle response. Took it too MCT for the suspension to be set up to my weight etc....money well spent.
Now on an hp2 sport also with K3s and they feel a bit 'distant' so will try Pirelli next. Enjoy the bike it's a fab machine.

I just bought another one for track use for next year. Just need to sort some decent suspension and get some spare wheels (for wets) and it'll be ready to go. Paddock stands and new tyre warmers are on the way already.

Geezus Christ Loon are you honestly only 30 or were you just taking the pi55?
I think I've seen a picture of you somewhere and you only barely managed to look 40, let alone 30!

Unrelated: why don't people buy Aprilia RSV4s instead of S1000RRs (new or used)? Surely theres not much difference in price new or used and you get all the leccy goodies and an engine that sounds like the voice of God

I'm well into my 40s. I think you're confusing me with Steve, as below:

Ahh makes sense!

On the upside since you are well into your 40s, you don't look so bad after all then wink
