He actually said as much on circuit commentary this morning. .... Something along the lines "I'm not sure I'd be happy wobbling around at the back of a Moto GP race, when I can be racing for wins in BSB"....
Tommy Hill said next year it's either wsbk or bsb.Sat at paddock hill until the 125's then took a walk over to clearways, it was bloody freezing, great racing from a great series.

But for trackday riders, think on this, at Brands a month ago nearly everyone who came off did so at Clearways, too much throttle too soon. With traction control there might well have been no offs. I counted 5 for the day. The latest TC systems are not billy proof but they are brilliant.

I suppose it all depends on what Shakey wants at this point in his career......hanging about the arse end of the MotoGP race, or being at the pointy end in the home series

Not onto a bad idea with that......
Big fish in smaller pond (on good bike) or small fish in big pond (on st bike).....bit of a no brainer.
If I was Ellison I'd be looking for a seat back in BSB too.
Even sam lowes said he wasn't interested in riding for paul bird in gpBig fish in smaller pond (on good bike) or small fish in big pond (on st bike).....bit of a no brainer.

Great ride by Josh.
Glad to see Alex and Laverty both ok.

Feel for both Glen AND Jack tbh, not the way it should happen, but thats racing.
Fabulous afternoons sport - really showed MGP as the total snoozefest is become.
Really enjoyed this years BSB,regardless of the showdon thing.
There's a few riders come of age this year, for sure.
Having abs and traction control on the blade did not stop me trying to high side on the final corner of Anglesey old pit lane. Too much throttle, lent over too much and almost lost a lot of talent and the bike

SO... has Tom Sykes got a Team mate on the KRT WSB ZX10R next year ?
just a thought- though I tend to think with Byrne being a contracted Paul Bird rider he might not get much encouragement to leave a PBM team set up ?
Oh, and a small shout for Laverty who was having one of his best races before he got caught up in Lowes' patch of red mist.
Sadly, I think it's time that Honda did something radical with the Fireblade too.
It's struggled in both BSB & WSB & Superstock classes for a couple of years now. Surely they can't get any more out of the current model- it doesn't seem like it. Both Ten Kate & "Samsung" Honda are 2 of the most experienced teams in Superbike racing.

Good racing yesterday and fair play to Shakey to go for the win rather than cruising around in a points scoring position just to take the championship.
Big shout goes to Catherine Green for taking 3rd in the Motostar championship as well.
It's a shame that every year it seems the other teams protest the winners and there was Shakeys team after the racing stripping the engine and full chassis check to prove they were legal. Same thing happened last year to Swan Yamaha I believe . .. Protested by 3 teams allegedly.

Isnt loris baz confirmed as tom sykes team mate for next year?
Yep.On a different note,I was thinking about next year in the way to work this morning. Much as I would love to see Birdy go and have a proper crack at the WSB title, I bet CRT is substantially cheaper....

Personnel for 1 bike versus 2 - travel/hotels etc
10 engines a year allowed versus 39 for Aprila in WSB this year
There are lots of other advabtages as well as I am sure Dorna probably help a little too . . But I agree, it's cheaper to be at the back in MotoGP than beiong at the front in WSB, but as a 1 bike team in WSB you could run for the same budget, but you'd also be at the back to middle. . .

no doubt but as already stated many experienced riders come off at clearways too.also without wannabe heroes there wouldn't be any track days so anything that helps keep a few riders out of hospital is fine by me.
Back to the topic I have massive admiration for Shakey going for the win in Race 3. You also have to hand it to Max winning WSB again in his forties but Shakey shows how to do it in real style. He really put Paul Bird through the ringer though! Brilliant stuff and provided epic edge of seat entertainment. Sheer class.

But he'd need sponsors. On a different note,I was thinking about next year in the way to work this morning. Much as I would love to see Birdy go and have a proper crack at the WSB title, I bet CRT is substantially cheaper....
Why would a company sponsor a team that's going to make up the numbers and not get on tv?
