To be fair to Sandro he has tweeted:

Im really sorry abouty my behavour today,i just overreact i saw i could win the title already and was just disapointed about what happend!

He did behave like a dick in the heat of the moment, but at least he is big enough to admit it.

Another MotoGP snoozefest, I think I saw three decent overtaking moves all race, glad I sky+'d it and didn't get up to watch it, sleep

Moto go seemed pretty dull, I dont think I missed much as I was swapping between the re-run of a dull f1 race and the bikes!

Made up for Danny Kent, it sounds like Sandro Cortese got his just deserts for riding like a dick at Assen...

Crap race, real snooze fest and so glad I didn't stay up to watch it. Gutted for Cal as he worked hard and Yamaha wont be happy.
Moto2, not up to it's usual billing but however much people dislike him, what a ride by Marquez after his schoolboy error.
Moto 3. Well deserved win for Kent, Cortese looked a prick but at least he seems to be man enough on reflection.

Agree on all counts.

This preview we're getting of the post-stoner era is st. Oh well, maybe Rossi and Marquez will make it 4 fighting at the front.

Spies - jesus.

Main event was really dull, made even more so by Cal running out of fuel.

Team Italia really impress me in Moto3, its a shame we dont have something at that level in this country.

Hopefully, next year VR can mix things up a bit, but there will still only be 3/4 podium riders in the field..

I agree completely, we haven't had such a strong presence in GP's for a nulber of years and we are still Superbike focussed.

The Spaniards and possibly the Italians as well have Moto2 championships which helps, at least we've got some Moto3 bike sin the 125's now. But just look at Bradley Reys perforamnce yesterday, 12secs ahead of the champion. Yes some performance difference with the bike, but the gap to the best of the world is enormous and the quicker we can take talent like that to the world stage the better.

I think I had exactly the same thoughts yesterday on all those comments. Even if he finds it hard to beat Lorenzo/Pedrosa at least I hope Rossi brings more fight to the front of MotoGP -it needs it.
Spies-well, that about sums up his MotoGP story doesn't it? (get back to WSBK)
Good for Kent- ample repayment for Cortese's Assen Antics. thumbup Cortese= tit 1st Class.

Rossi is evdiently riding to get to the tests at the end of the year in one piece, he looked awful riding yesterday, stiff, awkward, cautious, nothing like the Rossi of before Ducati...

It must be an awful place to be in fairness to him, on a poor bike, thats not the most predictable, twilight of career, nearly injury free for a while, back onto a competitive machine in a couple of months . .. Just gotta finish . .

Theoretical situation:

MotoGP arrives at Phillip Island with the Championship to be decided like this:

In order for Dani to take the title, he needs to win with Lorenzo third or lower.

Final laps, Lorenzo is in third, with Dani second and Stoner first...

Will Stoner give up winning the final race of his career, at home, to help Pedrosa win the title?

Casey's final race, winner of the previous 5 AUS GPs looking to make it 6 then retire. No I think he won't. The only reason he has come back at Motegi and Malaysia is to get race winning fit for Philip Island.

Stoner will be at Phillip Island for no other reason than his final win.

Honda have confirmed already there are no team orders and Stoner hasn't got to give a flying fig about anything but his last win in front of his home fans . . .

He says he isn't going to play team orders. I don't think he would anyway even if asked. Lets just hope his ankle improves as I'd like to see him up there before he goes.

How many places did Marquez make up in first two corners?! From fourth to last. Great on board.

Boring races except for moto 3.

Glad I bailed after moto 2!
