Picked up a Keis heated jacket yesterday. Took 10 minutes to wire up to the bike and a quick stationary trial yesterday all seemed great.

I’ve removed the thermal liner from the textile jacket and decided to just wear a Tshirt under my jacket as apposed thermal base layer, T shirt, thermal liner.

There I am setting off, not really cold this morning, 8 degrees, whack it on high. Well that was a mistake, I was sweating within 5 minutes.

Put it on low and it was perfect…on the verge of being too warm when doing the final slow town filtering.

This will be great through winter and for my Scotland trip later this week.

Try to avoid cotton Ts under heated kit; you sweat, it gets damp, the heated kit isn't as nice, the Gortex doesn't work so well.

What tends to be called "technical" gear these days - Helly Hansen/Berghaus/Under Armour/insert random manufacturer here base layer. Essentially anything used in sports that has a wicking action as part of its function.

I have keis vest with regulator. Also have attached gloves. Not too bulky and keeps me pleasantly warm. In line with original question I would recommend
for those using the sleeveless would you say you wished you got the sleeved version? i cant decide which one i need?
do your arms get cold?

Don’t wish I had the sleeved version, but if I bought another that is what I’d get!
