I hope your bikes worth a gazillion quid, either that or your brain is a work of art.
Failing that I would agree with above poster.
What does it matter what my bike is worth? If you ride a cheap bike do you have to wear a cheap helmet?Failing that I would agree with above poster.
A helmet isn't somewhere that I'd want to be saving money anyway...

I hear this a lot on biker banter, but actually its not true. I don't believe your near £1000 helmet will protect you any better than the nolan I've been wearing for the last twenty years. Even dafter if you ride a cheap bike with an expensive helmet, as you could have a better handling bike so you wouldn't need to test your head against the pavement so much.A helmet isn't somewhere that I'd want to be saving money anyway...
I don't care which way the latest test stabs the helmet and how the manufacturers have designed strengthening at that point to fool everyone that their helmat is an evolution in design, when actually its an evolution in money extraction.
Buy the pretty graphics if you like the graphics, call it a circular oil painting, but trying to convince me you are safer wearing it will require a demonstration ......... or two.
Possibly I may need more coffee today.
I know it's a dirty word to some, but SHARP testing has proved that the amount you spend has little, if anything, to do with the level of protection.
As well as looks however, quality, fit and finish, and longevity of product however I'd wager coincide with price. All of which are important in my opinion.

what has bike handling got to do with some one not seeing you or being in an unavoidable accident? when I wer a lad, helmets were made ti last ‘By ‘eck it were grand.’, ive came off many a time lad and im still with it tiday, honestly. I cant do a stubborn Yorkshire accent very well over the internet.
by all means keep wearing your 20 year old Nolan, its your head. But to think that a 20 year old lid will perform just as good as a current equivalent lid is nonsense. or buy a cheap crap one from lidl that's been booted about the shop or from a manufacture who spends little money on R and D while trying to replicate the design and testing that arai etc spend its your head.

I look at these pictures and ask myself "why can't Shoei do some nice graphics to?" I need a new lid, but they don't so any pretty ones at the moment.
I picked up one of these at the NEC in November, my first Shoei but also one of the few that I liked the look of.. so they can do it if they want to IMOEvoBarry said:

My shoei is on the first page. It's a similar B&W design. I need a new one and I want some colour but they're really lacking in style compared to AGV and Arai.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
