Picked up my new Shoei NXR this morning. I'm not a huge Marquez fan but I love his testing design. It weighs in at only 1,260g and is by far the most comfortable lid I've put on my head.

Sold off a few old ones and now I'm down to six:

Scheißen!! I thought I'd be the only one who would get this paint scheme lol. I have one on order with dark visor. Just love the paint scheme. Never had a replica lid.
Looks lovely :-)

New bike, new helmet. I've no complaints at all about my Caberg Ego (especially the awesome ventilation), but fancied trying a higher quality helmet.

I might make that 3 of us, I love that design. The "Easy going / warming up / racing" thing on the back is ace.

I have the XR1R (in dayglo gimp colours) - would be interested to see if there is any improvement with the XR2.

I like the look of these, came across them on a website but hadn't heard of the brand before.

Interested to hear what you think of it, one of these would help to feed my carbon obsession!

Yes will let you know what I think of it, I have got an Arai and Shoei and fancied a change ! The XR1 got excellent reviews on MCN so fingers crossed the XR2 is a bit better

Please do! My XR1R has been ok, but had some problems with it so may try another brand next time around - it's my first helmet so have nothing to compare it to.

Struggling to resist the temptation to replace this...

With this..

Although £460 is a lot of wedge for the same lid with a different paint scheme, someone talk some sense in to me!

You can never have enough helmets. To me they're far more attractive, interesting ornaments than winged horses of chav tat. So as well as stopping your head getting caved in, they're pretty too.
