I rate Bike magazine - especially anything written by Simon Hargreaves - he really likes the HP4 in this months issue - best bike ever... wish I had 20k to blow..
this is from fast bike a couple of years back but I thought it was such an entertaining and good write up for the street triple that its worth quoting
quote
The trumpet leads the euro invasion that's crushed a once jap dominated class and has brought along not only raw pace and performance, but also modernism. It's hard to see the Hinkley Hooner getting beaten soon and we're not sure what its going to take to do so.
So, you're edging 60, your back's giving plenty of jip but you still feel 20? Buy a Street triple R. On the other end of the spectrum you're 20, young, dumb and full of cum, and looking for cheap thrills?. Buy an STr. For everyone else ? buy an STr. There isn't a motorcycle on this planet that can achieve so much for so many for so little. Churchill would have been proud. Oh yes.

I have always liked Performance Bike Magazine which i think has the right approach to most of the topics covered in the magazine. I also get Practical Sportsbike as even if i don't have a beard my bike is from the beard era of 1996.
Bike magazine i get sometimes but it depends on the cover story and MCN is got every Wednesday.

Subscribe to Performance Bikes, Bike and MCN - Bauer is doing well out of me.
Will buy FB 4-6 times a year.
Superbike had really gone down hill - written by one bloke and his brother, but I haven't bought it for 6 months or more.
MCN Sport sometimes - the last one looked a bit boring tbh.

They all look the same in that mag. All black and all have a puddle of oil underneath them
Yep. They're more about the engine design than what colour the plastic is.Harvey mush man said:
We've been working hard to change the feel of SuperBike magazine over the last 12 months. Sales have started moving in the right direction and the general feedback is that it's getting better. If you haven't seen it for a while and would like to flick through a free copy, message me or email John@superbike.co.uk with your address and I'll stick one in the post.
Cheers
John
did anyone who replied actually receive a copy?Cheers

I subscribe to The Classic Motorcycle. Mine's black and I carry a supply of newspaper with me to soak up (most of) the puddle of oil underneath it. Sometimes it's nice to read about mechanical misfortune happening to other people! Sometimes I think old bikes aren't an obsession, they're a disease!
If you read about the *ahem* mechanical misfortune of the bloke who kept running out of fuel on the Enfield sidecar outfit on the Banbury Run about 18 months ago... that was me.Hope I cheered you up

Used to pray at the Altar of Fast Bikes, back in the days people like Sean Emmett, Dan Harris and latterly Shakey tested for them and Colin Schiller Edited and owned. After that it got bought out and became dire, sadly still is.
Regularly read PB as has the odd good article, and PS is now my bag, I must be showing my age hankering after another 90's sports bike.
