Can the Drift HD do continuous recording (i.e start overwriting old video automatically when it runs out of space)? If not, can any of them do this?
No,also don't go for the 720,get the 1080 and a external mic,the wind noise on the 720 is awfull and there's no socket to use a external mic to get rid of it.Mr2Mike said:

No - but the Drift Ghost can EDIT: Well actually, what i has is a 'tag' feature set from 5mins to 10 seconds. When something happens, you click tag on the remote and it rewinds 5 mins and captures it.

How about this one as an alternative - http://www.koonlung.net/pro_show.asp?id=108 - I use it in the car and on the bike it came from Ebay for around £120.
The camera is mounted on the front of the bike with the recorder under the seat also there is a external mic plugged in with a windshield fitted (no wind noise) and the record / stop button on the handle bars.
Here's a clip click on 1080p...Youtube seems to have compressed the file a lot it looks much sharper normally.

Here you go - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...Main reason I want a two piece system is that I drive/ride lots of different cars/bike at work and at home and want something that can be moved very easily and I can stick to the dash quickly with a bit of blue tack if needed, I have got an original contour hd but want something to suplement this as sticking the contour to a dash involves lots of duct tape as I'm not allowed to put permanent fixtures in the company motors (pool cars)

Thread resurrection!
I seem to rememeber someone in BB extoiling the virtues of the Drift Ghost-S over any of the GoPros (3DP? - someone had one mounted on a Ducati anyway).
I'm comparing the GoPro Silver and the Drift Ghost-S and I really don't know which is best. This is for mounting to the tank with an external mic plugged in for track days and ride outs.
GoPro - seems to have better reviews but can't rotate lense, £325 with a couple of batteries and case.
Drift Ghost-S - reviews complain of poor low light video quality, but you can rotate lense; £390 with batteries and case.
I'm erring on side of GoPro, smaller and lighter and with the right mounts the rotating lense of the Drift becomes irrelevant.
I just want nice shiny videos where the sound isn't completely crap!
