That^^^ is utterly stunning.

The black and white is nice too (much nicer than the coloured versions of that livery)

Stripped my '04 a few times, never noticed any TVR-esque messages frown.

Love the marque, on 'blade number 4 and can't find a reason to move up!

My tricolore was resprayed black/black when new, looks bloody fantastic smile

I love that colour. There was one in the classifieds last summer. Two owners and not many miles. First owner was in the RAF so perhaps brought it back from a European posting? Or simply imported it of course.

Great story to these bikes thumbup

Bought and run by a chap in London I think. Have seen it on my commute a few times.

Very cool engineer....I remember being so impressed by the first FireBlade...it made a huge impression. To be fair to Honda, they have continued to bring big respect to the the FireBlade name.

A great read there - it strikes me that many of the world's greatest sporting machines are the product of a single-minded maverick rather than a marketing department. Tadao Baba comes across here with strong hints of Colin Chapman, Peter Wheeler and Gordon Spice, which doesn't surprise me in the slightest. We need more people like him in the industry - Tetsuya Tada, for example.

Fantastic article, very interesting. The writing on the fairing thing is just magic - have any FireBlade owning PHers discovered it on their bike?

Always liked the 954.

Have a bit of a hankering for one now. Black and white I think.

Not really a bike fan (though i did learn to ride smile ) but that article is fantastic.

Also really love reading when it shines through how much a person is devoted to their trade and craft and made something he still believes in now.

I'd like to buy on of these just to look at .... reason i am not a bike fan is i couldnt trust myself on one!

I originally wanted a blue/black one but couldn't find a decent one in the time I spent looking. If the grey/black was available here I'd have had that over both!

Not 100% sure, but cannot recall that been a colour scheme on UK blades.
Personally I always thought this was the best colour scheme:

My one was in the more traditional Red/Black but still thought it looked good, in fact I think all the 954 colour schemes are good and it really is a masterpiece of a bike.

Very nice story....love stuff like this. I have never really been into motorcycles but this is a very cool story. This man truly loved his work.
