At 15 quid... I've just ordered one! How long can you get on the card/battery life? I guess I'll find out.
Good find - thank you
My key fob one would record for about 15 minutes then start on a new section. It did record trips out of about 40 minutes before going flat.Good find - thank you
The really annoying thing is it only lasted 5 trips then broke, but you pay what you get.

I ordered one after reading this thread, it arrived today . Not got any proper footage with it yet I`ve only been playing around with it but for £13 it`s good. Like Turbofocus says it only records in five minutes sections. It did pack up completely at one stage but there is a small hole on one side to reset it with a pin and works fine again,so I suspect I`ll get bored with it before it breaks. The really annoying thing is it only lasted 5 trips then broke, but you pay what you get.

Me too. Bit confused with the Chinese instructions - 'you press long time' but what I have recorded is good.MonkeyBusiness said:

Cheap? Good Quality Video & Audio...
Job Done.
One of these.

And heres some footage we got on one last year at the southern 100...

I bought one of those last year and for the cost I thought the quality was very impressive! As has been said, it'll record for about 15mins then start a new session. I found a good trick was to put some tape over the microphone hole, it massively reduces wind noise when on the bike.Job Done.

1) Check out Techmoan on youtube, he'll have reviewed pretty much any 'cheap' cam you might think about buying, e.g here's the 808 keychain ones:

2) Get one of the 808 keychain style ones if you want soemthing sub £20. I used to have about 5 of them of varying types, here's some footage from applecross from my scotland tour a couple of years ago:

This was literally just duct taped to the top of my helmet.
3) If you at some point try out proper action camera you will probably never ever want to go back. I now have a couple of gopro HD's and can't bear the stty cheap things. It's such a ridiculous step up and they have really moved on as well in the last couple of years.

I've just acquired a GoPro 3 Black with touch-screen display and long-range fuel tank
Have a wad of Nectar to points to blow so it'll be off to Argos for a Class 10 64GB card, in time for another hoon to the Alps in a few weeks
Only slight hiccup is that although the GP3 has mic input via a special USB lead, none of the cases allow you to plug the damn thing in .
I may well sell my old system, it's a Dogcam HQR2 recorder (now discontinued) and Sony-based bullet camera. One of these but mine has the more expensive HQ2 camera:

The SJ4000 is pretty good for a Chinese knock off, though obviously not up the quality of the real thing. The Techmoan review covers everything you need to know.SVC200?

Around £100, the original video looks a lot better, and it comes with all the mounts/accessories you need, just need a microSD card to go in it.
