O dear, I've cut the wire and it is one wire with an outer wire a bit like a coaxial ? I am no electrician so what does the outer wire do?

I have my superseal connectors so i will make the step and cut the wire to the Sat Nav and probably screw it up.

I also got the telfrizer Ram mount for the headstock which was £35! But it is impressive and very easy to fit. It fits so well you could lift the bike up on it!
I'll wait till you've done yours hehe

Not got mine yet, its only a power and ground so shouldn't be too hard to fk up.

Bike like an MT07, not that old, probably not riding at 10 10ths, braided lines cosmetic only wink

Plus, have you checked what the bleed procedure is, before you rip everything out?

Is it:

1- tell wife this will only take an hour.

2- scatter tools across 40 mile radius

3- discover everything is boiling, razor sharp, seized, inaccessible, and made of spite.

4- deploy mid-high level swears.

5- cut thumbs in such a way that they'll not heal for 7 years.

6- ruin best jeans with blood.

7- give up, leaving bike with even less brakes than before, and now covered in communicable diseases.

8- hate self.

If so, I know exactly how to bleed brakes.

Sadly 90%+ of my miles are commuting which doesn't really lend itself to riding at 10/10 (unless you want to appear on one of those Police Camera shows!) While considerably less epic than the MT10 I recently test rode, the MT07 is such a capable commuter...

Ha ha, I misunderstood you, I thought you'd just passed your test, hence the not at 10 10ths" comment! hehe

Got a Halfords screwdriver set last night, some glitch on the system were giving them away 2 for 1 so 2 sets for £7. One shall be given away for a Christmas present and i get a nice set of screwdrivers for £3.50, Think the offer has ended now when they realized they were giving them away.

I might have never received my thermometer or calipers but i can now screw till my hearts content wink

They used to give Halfords screwdrivers away with oil on promotions. I've had a few sets and I've slated them off for being easy to round off, and quick to bend if you're prying, but in fairness after 5 years of fairly brutal abuse, I still have a few to use for seconds.

I have a nice Teng set for Sunday best. Almost too nice to use!

Those Halfords cross head screwdrivers are all Pozidrive, ie. fine for building IKEA furniture but useless on motorbikes unless you fancy chewing up all the screw heads

They come with a lifetime warranty so if they get knackered ill just go and demand another one.

At £3.50 i don't expect them to last long and i have a lot of screw drivers but another few never hurt anyone.

I chew mine up without resorting to using them on Phillips/JIS fasteners.

Like a pro. A Halfords Pro.

Halfords have quite a few discounts on cleaning bits at the moment...5 microfibre towels for £2.70 instead of a fiver. Same for washmits. Various shampoos etc as well.

Handy for giving the bike a mid winter spruce on 27th December, when you can't stand the sight of your own family for one moment longer.

Totally agree. I can't stand more than a few hours with your wife tongue out
