Went into Aldi today to pick up a pair of cheap biking Jeans for £35. They had about 5 pairs mostly sizs 32" and 1 36". Rather than hung on the rack they was in a sale type basket. They had £12.99 on the tags so was well chuffed. Got to the till and they went through as £8.99! Great price imo. Unfortunately the 36" was slightly too big for my son but they fit me just fine biggrin
How robust do they seem? I got some a couple of years ago but changed my mind because my normal jeans felt more sturdy.

I've limited experience with others to compare with tbh as I've only recently passed my CBT. They seem alright for low speed journeys (hence originally for my sons moped) but for prolonged riding times I'd get some full kevlar Jeans.
The Jean material isn't the thickest but I'm led to believe that doesn't provide much protection anyway. The kevlar is at the butt area then down the side of the leg to the knee and surrounds the knee area also. Knee pads are present but no hip padding of sorts. HTH.

It was more the seams holding them together that concerned me, may have been a duff pair. I have since got Draggin then Bull-it jeans which are both ce rated. Infinity warehouse have been selling them on eBay recently half price.

Yes. I tried to track the parcels last night, strangely enough neither tracking number was recognised on China Post.

Part of me thinks, pah, it's only £2, I'll sit and wait to see. Part of me thinks, Hmm, I don't like being scammed even if it's only £2, I'll cancel. Whether I'd ever see a refund, who knows? Do Amazon refund the buyer like eBay do?

I am curious of this as well. Like you I am not concerned about the money as such but I hate that I have been scammed and they have probably made a packet off of people thinking 'ah well it is only £2'

Might request a refund.

Right, so the challenge now is for someone to find another bargain purchase for these two items that none of us knew we needed, but can't now bear to be without!

You bunch of quitters!

I'm riding it out. Hopefully when you lot cancel your orders, they'll see which of us are truly dedicated and ship our temp guns and digital calipers, maybe even throw in some freebies as an apology...

I still believe......cry

Here's why you'll get no response and no stuff:

Hello Nervy You Handsome bd,

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk

From your email, I am sorry to learn that you have not yet received your order #026-0391167-6061142, however it should be with you by now.

I can see that your order #026-0391167-60611567 was placed with a Seller on Amazon Marketplace. Items ordered via Amazon Marketplace aren’t directly fulfilled by Amazon, and so the best option in this case is to contact the Seller directly.

I have also checked and can see that you have contacted the seller many times earlier, however seller has not responded you.

I have checked the seller status and I am afraid to inform you that the seller is now no longer with us.

Please don't be worry about this, I will certainly sort out the issue in the best possible way.

To serve you best in this situation, I’ve requested a refund of £2.00 to the payment card associated with your order, and we'll send you confirmation by e-mail when it's complete. Please allow your bank 5 to 7 business days to process it.

Completed refunds information can be viewed if you visit Your Orders (https://www.amazon.co.uk/yourorders) and select "Order Details" once you've received the confirmation e-mail from us.

We at Amazon.co.uk take pride in our customer service standards and believe that customers who purchase from the Marketplace should be treated with the same degree of service as a customer who's purchased directly from us. Even though your purchase was made from a Seller, we realise that it may influence your decision to visit our website again.

Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated in this regard.

I sincerely hope that my efforts in addressing this issue have been satisfactory.

We always value your business with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

P.S. Really though, it was 2 quid. What were you expecting? Shame on you for both your gullibility and greed. If you weren't so good looking and generally musky I'd think fractionally less of you. Luckily, you are so I don't.

The seller died? And you're worried about a measly two quid?

Also, YOU'RE a TangFastic. There, I've said it.

So if they got a million orders and charged a pound that's a million pound profit, theft is theft patronising git.

I assume this was a joke, as it could simply mean he isn't on amazon anymore.

The seller isn't dead, its a scam.

Sell something dirt cheap from china, pump out a few items, express delivery to hide suspicion initially, wait for funds to clear, get funds out. Complaints start, announce death of a someone who never existed in the first place.
