Those who bought the XLMoto bag for £10 (if I remember correctly) a while ago, check your Email regarding a refund. Apparantly there is a quality issue with it and they've kindly offered a refund if yours has developed an issue (or to spend the money on something else).

Not used mine much at all. Quickly went back to my 20 year old Nike bag as much easier to get on and off plus not much time on the bike since.

Thanks for that - mine split open first time out. I just put it down as a "get what you pay for" lesson.

I've since purchased a Kreiga, which is much better built for 16 times the price!

Yeah I got an email yesterday with a £30 voucher code & at the bottom it says, "You may also choose to use the replacement voucher to purchase another product" so as I don't think much of the bag I may buy something else.

I've not used mine much, but the elastic strap that goes between the two main straps was bust on mine when it arrived. Didn't think much of it for the price paid though.

No email here though frown

Received a voucher, didn't see anything about returning any damaged bags though, assume they don't need any proof of the damage?

In fairness if there was a manufacturing error in terms of strength/material quality then they're doing the reasonable thing in making good on the original purchase.

+1, their stuff was recommended to me recently on here so I bought an R30 backpack from a PHer and a US20 tail pack and they were both awesome, I rode for a couple of hundred miles in torrential rain and not a drop got in .
I have an R30, a fantastic bag which I don't just use for trips on the bike. I was at an amusement park today with the family and took the R30, filled it with spare clothes, food, water, towels and carried it around for 6 hours, not a problem, so comfortable and I didn't feel any strain.

bargain drybag

£30 - and local to me (glasgow) also
Just to say i.e had one I'd these bargain fully waterproof lomo backpacks for around 2 months, it's absolutely spot on for bike use esp for me year round all weather. I have tested it in fully torrential rain twice (where my old goretex kit let water in) and it does what it says in the tin. Allows me to transport my work laptop and other stuff I need to and from work and never worry about them if rain arrives.
The closing system is ok once you're used to it. One comment is the bag could do with some bracing in the back area as it collapses a little if it's not full of enough stuff, only a small negative though.

XL are offering 4L of oil and a filter for £20 at the moment. Not sure if they have variations to suit other bikes etc. Not sure of the quality of them either as they don't seem to be on sale anywhere else. Might be worth a whirl?

With all of those oxford battery optimisers, make sure you connect/disconnect it to/from the bike WHILE THE CHARGER IS NOT PLUGGED INTO THE MAINS. I've killed several by forgetting. If you connect/disconnect while plugged into the mains it seems to kill them.

Just got myself some new gloves with that code. Reduced from £60 down to £40. Ended up paying about £14. Happy chap!

I went for a new pair of boots, £30 voucher and £30 in my PayPal that I'd forgotten about meant £89 out of the bank account.

Happy enough with that!
