Know a few people who have bought the halfords socket set and all have said its decent quality for what you pay - plus they are under lifetime warranty!
I seem to buy a set of some description or another to replace lost pieces every year. Never broken anything, but I've got a st load of 10mm sockets somewhere.

Although I posted this in another thread thought I should add in here to. If anyone is after some cheap clothing search buyer englishbandit on eBay. They are selling a lot of new items very cheap. They are down as used as they have been in storage but it is well worth a look. I got a Frank Thomas jacket for 45 quid.

The ones in the pic on World of Triumph do appear to have the Union Jack impression on the inner calf though. I wonder whether the ones that you would get if you bought a pair would also have the Triumph branding on them.

Not sure, could always phone and ask......

I only went on the photos.

and the lack of mention of Triumph, they do make a bing song and dance about it if it has a triumph badge on it.

I never to any of these. They always require direct debits. I don't trust direct debits. If it goes wrong, it costs you a lot more than any free giveaway. The only direct debits I'll allow from my account is mortgages and anything I pay to my 3 concubines in Botswana.

Yeah I know you can cancel _most_ of them, but it is a lot of palaver for not that much benefit plus there is the chance it could go wrong which may not directly cost you money but is more palaver to sort out.

I like to keep it simple, hence the mortgage and the concubines only.

I ordered these after they were posted on another thread at the weekend, I think they are the smx-r boots, wouldnt bother me if they had triumph written on them at that price! Hopefully they arrive in next day or two!

for £85 I think as long as they dont come off when your sliding down the street on your arse then you have won a watch regardless if it has triumph on it or not.

Agreed, £85 is a good price, and having Triumph on it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Mine arrived today, they are slightly different to the picture, the outside silver bit is actually white and they have triumph stitched in white above the toe slider and triumph on the rear in small grey lettering. They are the same as alpinestars smx-r boots so a bargain at the price. I ordered a size 43 the same as my smx4 boots but these feel very snug with only thin socks on, may give a little with time but im unsure if there to snug at the mo. The boots are actually these:

got mines today, feel a more sturdy than my smx-5's and like the fact they have replaced the zip with a velcro one instead of the felt one that becomes fked after lots of use.

Someone mentioned they were too tight. They were tight as fk going on but you can adjust them, inside you can spilt them (velcro bit) and adjust them to your size, after that they are comfy as fk.

They are lovely boots, I ordered a 43 as my smx4 boots are a 43 and fit fine, loose enough for thick socks but tight enough for thin socks etc, but these boots are quite tight across the top of my foot and feel alot narrower than than the smx4. I emailed and asked if they had any size 44 left but no joy, not sure if il try my luck and break them in or flog them on yet.

ah, I thought you had problems at the calf.

once you walk in them you will crease them at you'r toes this should in turn flatten them out, hopefully that will give you room to wiggle your toes.

they are very snug compared to my smx-5s but it's a different design so that might be why.
