I am not just disappointed with quality, I'm shocked!
As I said earlier- I suspect simple name trade passed over on to some shabby factory, something absolutely rings BELL's about p*i*k*e*y "honda" generators... biggrin

Don't be such a wally hehe

Amazon are one of the world's biggest retailers. I somehow doubt they'd peddle hooky crash helmets smile

Safety helmet standards

All helmets worn on UK roads must either:
meet British Standard BS 6658:1985 and carry the BSI Kitemark
meet UNECE Regulation 22.05
meet a European Economic Area member standard offering at least the same safety and protection as BS 6658:1985, and carry a mark equivalent to the BSI Kitemark

Rather bought colander of James May(TG Vietnam Special)..[b]NOW !!!

The bad bit - UK Law does not forbid people selling these from outside the country and apparently there is nothing that can be done about it, as they can still be used legally off road etc.

it passed ECE...

It's the day, as when I go about praising Lidl's helmet, as the last flip up owned (the other BMW was great, though lining wore out; Nitro freedom or something was OK, but heavier) and then I was getting embarrassed to show my CRIVIT...

Will do!
(wont have no time tomorrow) but day after for sure!
and I am not just about sending it back- I'm properly cheesed off with such shabby lid with such big name and astronomical RRP price, just get the feeling of innocent bikers being taken for a ride.

oh we got that, always a gamble when buying online, you would expect a £250 helmet to be better than you describe

It's strange, I currently wear a handmade in the UK Davida Jet open face lid and think the quality looks pretty good and you've come from a Lidl special and think it's rubbish.

To each their own though, if you're not happy with it send it back. I doubt many people would buy one without seeing it first (unless like us they bought quickly and unseen to grab a bargain) so they shouldn't be surprised by the quality or "taken for a ride."

anyone could say ventilation works at all?
upper (weirdest mechanism) does something, hardly any air is going through.
chin vent doesn't work or looking at it closely could work at all in any case...
WTF is this item, named Bell?
Could it be one of them s "honda" generators scam?
Thinking about some way to report it to Health and Safety or Trading Standard Agency...

"antifog" wiser... I bet will steam up....

honestly shocked by most shabby helmet in my 25 years of helmet wearing... and I had Chinese made and all the other sorts...

would any of the owners dispute my findings?
Can't comment on the M10 but I have the M5X and nothing you say is true of it.

I guess the M5 is just a better helmet.

Mine is from Italy....
and I read up:
Bell Racing is headquartered in Rantoul,
Illinois , with manufacturing facilities at an
industrial park which was formerly Chanute Air
Force Base. Bell Racing Europe , an
independent company that uses the Bell mark
under license, is headquartered in Saintes, near
Brussels, Belgium.

I concur - wore it today for a quick sprint to work and all was fine, no noisier than my HJC and I did exceed speed limits. I could even operate the visor without the catch. But I have seen aftermarket visors on ebay with a catch for around £30 which are 2.0mm thick as opposed to the 3.0mm standard one's so get one of those.

All in all a decent helmet for £100 and will be used in the summer as I cannot be arsed to get a tool kit out to swap the visors.

I have the M10 next to me at work ready to give to the Mrs so we shall wait and see if she is happy with it.

It's Italian made using American brand.

They've not been from the States in a while I read.

Got my m3x today It good for £55 but never worth £250 like they say, more like £150. Just got a clear visor which is 3mm thick, but overall I`m pleased with it.

In general, from what I've learned and voiced extremely clear about it seems like knock off too far to be putting your head inn one (M10)

I think the first guy is likely an idiot to be honest. Your E marking should be is on your head strap with accompanying serial number. Your evidence E22.05 certification is in your manual in addition to this.

There is no requirement to have a sticker on the outside of the lid unless it meets the third bullet point you mentioned earlier. This meets the EU standard (the second point) so doesn't.

Exactly the same as my other Italian, Caberg, helmet.

I mean do you honestly think that if you sticker falls off your lid becomes illegal to wear?

im confused are you mark Holland? did you buy a pink mans dressing gown as well, I seen you left a review on that

anyway.

if so how is it not to spec? does it need a sticker to be used on the uk roads?
