It might dull the tank over time, but will really only cause damage if you get dirt between the material and tank. The magnets are behind soft material.

I think if you keep it clean it will be fine as well.

One of my mates bks me if I'm filling his car with petrol when I lean on it, "as it scratches the lacquer with the dirt already on the paintwork".

It's his pride and joy so I do it, but I'm not convinced it's measurable.

Won't it damage the tank.
I've been using a Kustani expanding magentic tank bag since the early 90s and never noticed any damage to any of the bikes I've used it on (1990 VFR750, 1992 Fireblade and 1996 Bandit 1200) - just make sure the fabric where the magnets are is clean and it'll be fine wink

Hahahaha, can't believe Kush-itani would get censored rolleyes

Same here, got the same tank bag I bought in 1993, it's a good one. Magnetic with a soft back. I'm very very particular about paintwork but it's never done any damage. Doesn't get used on a daily basis, mind you.

I've had one for 3 years from Lidl/Aldi. I'll be honest I've gone off it, I'd rather have a rucksack.

It's a PITA when you need to refuel and have to put it on the floor. Or walking around when you have to fiddle with it to get the straps out. Also it doesn't hold much and the more you fill it the less you can lean forward. I don't miss that for speed purposes, it's mostly so I can stretch my back on long rides.

That said I've been looking for a bike rucksack for a few weeks now and they're either ridiculous overpriced (kreiga), not clear as to weather or not it's actually waterproof (Kriega except for one model), or look fragile as anything.

That said some people don't like putting things on their back unless they come off which is fair enough. It's also nice to be able to see your mobile/sat nav/map easily.

Halfords have 13 % off everything today till 2pm. Perfect timing for buying a tent and double mattress for that track day in Anglesey you've been dying to go to.

Im have the same feelings as your pal. I park a zillion miles from anywhere just so my car doesn't get scratched or dented.

I have 2 things that wind me up like cray.

The one time I didn't because we were late getting somewhere I get a fecking huge ding in my door ! I wasn't to happy with the fella that I saw do it. Wont go into that any further other than to say why cant people show some respect for other peoples belongings.

People eating like a spaztard

Feck me I feel im feeling more like a ex ( maybe not ex superbike champ ) by the minute laugh

I bought one recently having broken my neck in Nov. It's been 50% off for a while now, and was in late Nov also.

I haven't sized it up or used it yet as i'm not back on the bike, but it's a very well made bit of kit, and I really believe in Leatt braces having read a lot of testimonies about the MX ones... not so much to read about the STX though as they aren't anywhere near as widely taken up by road/track riders as they are in MX.

I think it's a very good buy at that price.

I took a chance but moto legends service is excellent and swapping for another size wouldn't be an issue.

Bought that pump yesterday. Not tried it yet but comes with a three year manufacturer guarantee and its a st load better than the Halfords foot pump I was using.
