You can get 10% off anything online at Get Geared using code IAMBACK I started using it a couple of years ago as the card said use within 6 months but a year after that it still works and last week I used it again and when my stuff was delivered they included a card with IAMBACK15 (still only 10% discount, the 15 is for 2015)

MTB - I think you be impressed with this. I contacted Amazon last night as my M5X from last July has a faulty tinted visor ( which I want to use on the carbon version) as it has split where the screw goes through the visor. I asked for a replacement and as its no longer on sale they have offered a full refund!

This is good, but now I will have to cough up around £40 for a new Bell tinted visor ( unless anybody has one they want to sell?)

i'll pass then I have that in wonder woman colours.

I'd just keep it, a few tried to buy them cheap then sell them at almost RRP or the going rate on Ebay, they sat for ages until they went for slightly more than amazon. When you consider Paypal and ebay take 14% off you for the pleasure of selling your item, and you can get a new one for £89 you might not get as much as you'd think.

It only takes one spill or even a drop to write a helmet off, always good to have a spare, especially if you do trackdays. Though I seem to collect them like the other half has handbags.

just a thought, not trying to teach you how to suck eggs. Plus, it would appear, and I done my usual and skim read everything on the internet at work that the bd has went to the challenge of taking the dark visor and bag out. They come as a package but he strongly words his advert that it doesn't, it mentioned only a clear before and one showed up but not in the statement johney highlighted. I do go on don't I.

No worries, thanks for the link.

I was just trying to find the £33 deal, with no luck. At helmet city the clear version is £70 and in the picture it appears to be the wrong one!

Got mine too yesterday evening. Lighter than my Shoei NXR, though a bit snug just now. Not a big fan of the white plastic on the inside, and I appear to have a small defect in the carbon weave. Overall the quality is excellent, I particularly like the red lining (but then I am a tart)

The white plastic bit I think doesn't fit:

These attach where?

The defect in the weave, I'm still deciding how fussy I want to be!

Where are you getting a dark visor?

I'm not sure it'll replace my NXR, as that helmet really feels like a second skin right now. I wasn't charged VAT, though the price dropped by 77p after I ordered (random).

Put the helmet on and shake your head side to side fairly quickly. If the helmet doesn't stick with your head / your head moves more than a fraction inside the helmet then it's too big.

Remember that the sizing is not standard across the industry, it's the same with everything an XL T-shirt from Next is about the size of a M from Tesco!

Dark visors from here

http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category/bell-helmet-v...

Those clip on things are for your nose I think in cold / wet conditions to limit the listing on the visor. I've never fitted them on any helmet.

I have the same defect in the carbon on mine. I also note that the date on the strap is 2011!

Stop flapping about these. So what if it's 2011, it's not been used and probably stored in a dark room for all that time. I've bought two amd these are my new track helmets for next year.

Dark visors are a bit pricey though! £70 a pop.

Does anyone know how the sizing compares to Shoei Helmets? I'm a large in a Shoei, and cannot get myself into a shop to try on a Bell helmet.

Ah yeah cheers, no instructions in booklet so double checking.

I'm not that bothered about the weave, I've got another one coming and will keep the best one.
