Just seen them on Hot Deals now as well so they might all go a bit faster now ? I've watched the Carbon in Large for 2 weeks and its crept up in price to £194 but this morning it's back at £179 so I've pressed the button.

Can you stop posting stories of of how wonderful the Bells are... My mrs. birthday was this month and I stupidly bought her a new phone, emptying my disposable fund for the month in the process.

In the unlikely event that these are still available for this price at the end of next week I am ordering one.

If it helps, it's not that great a helmet....

...but seriously though, it is fking lovely and that price is ridiculous. It'll probably never be that low again and BB will forever talk about 'The Great Bell Rush of 15'.

Just saying hehe

One of mine is getting its first run out on track today. Bit noosy with the vents open, but not a problem today as it's cooler. The anti fog is brilliant. Peripheral vision is great.

One gripe is that it sometime slips and my lips seem to be almost resting on the front inner where the vents are. Not a big problem though.

Ooh, the M6 is lovely. What size did you get? How does it compare to other brands?
After reading 50/50 reports of people saying they are smaller than Arai vs others saying they feel the same - I stuck with medium (57/58 centimeters) Im expecting the cheeks to be a bit tight - but will let you know if any real difference once I get home and try it on.

I looked at these on Amazon today and several of the reviews said how noisy the top vent was.

Even with foam earplugs in, it's not that quiet - I'd say a touch noisier than my 4 year old Arai Chaser.

I might try temporarily blocking off the top vents to see if that improves things.

I had two delivered on the same day a month ago. Not one of these Bells, but I would have been tempted to take a punt on one back then!

Is that the M5? The M6 is supposed be a little roomier in front of the gob.
Yep it's a cheapo M5X

yeah I saw amazon had pumped up the price when I sent it to a friend yesterday.... ok I have tried it.... here are a few quick points ! (disclaimer I am incredibly harsh on reviewing anything - it takes a hell of a lot to impress me - so this is not going to be all chocolates and roses !)

So it looks amazing obviously - but when you sit it next to an standard Arai (chaser V for reference) it is very very wide across the face ! (ear to ear) I had a quick look in the mirror and this is the first thing that came to mind.

The fit was as expected - the cheek pads are a bit pronounced as everybody says - but after wearing it in this morning they already seemed to have loosened a bit. The padding inside isnt as comfy & plush as arai and feels a bit sparse - but its ok and in terms of fit, medium arai vs medium Bell is about correct.

The chin strap is pretty cheap and nasty - and I think the D rings will need a bit of smoothing with a file because of poor design too. The leather bag it comes in though is great - the mrs has already nabbed it as a gym bag !

riding in this morning - I had a chirp of wind noise early on - but a quick fiddle with the vents and it never returned so no issues there.

wind noise at low speeds (say sub 70) is really good - would say a shade better than the chaser v - noise increases as you push thru 90 and over 100 - but would say was comparable as made no difference.

Visor - the field vision is great - BUT - this anti fog stuff is very dubious..... The top 3/4 inch of the visor fogged up very quickly and stayed that way for most of the journey - so if you are in a racier position and like to look thru the top half of your visor then this will be a problem. Its not a traditional fogging but more of a smeary look - either way you cant see much and it annoyed me on my 35 minute commute. I would say at what 10 degrees this morning this visor is approaching the limits of its ant fog performance - so when the weather gets colder this will be an issue - even though I never expected it to be anything like as good as a simple pinlock insert.

I would say in summary - If you are a pleasure rider / not a die hard commuter, then this helmet at this price is still a no brainer as none of the above issues are really going to notice for blasting around. If yr getting up at 05.30 on dark wet mornings then the visor is going to piss u off - I'll have a look and see if there are any better visor options....

Interesting, I agree with most points wholeheartedly. However, the fogging doesn't happen on mine on track. I used it yesterday in cool, but dry, conditions, which are perfect conditions for fogging up and it performed immaculately at a good pace with no hint of fogging up at all.

I've two lids with anti-fog. A caberg and an M5X. I've done thousands of miles with both in the cold. If you breath like a sex offender on a cold day it will still fog, but will tend to clear much faster.

After 4 years of use though, the effect is noticeably diminished on the Caberg. Perhaps it would have lasted longer if I didn't use such harsh abrasives like paper hand towels.
