Oh bloody hell. I could do with a new lid too.

And this month has been hellishly expensive already!!! This "bargain" thread is costing me a fortune!!

....that reminds me, must pop to Aldi at lunch for one of those charges. Goddam it!!!!!!
I ordered one this week at £149, some sizes were sold out (specifically the gold ones) although the page does say more due into stock, but I decided not to chance it and went for the white stripe one, classic design!

It's just arrived! woohoo

It's going back! cry

I've got a big old noggin, so I went for the XXL. Fit my head, but it's too short front-to-back; the chin bar is actually pressing on the tip of my nose (which isn't big, just my whole head is!). No XXXL and in any case would probably be the same shell size. Boo.

Lovely looking lid (and bag!) tho, and very very light.

What's your head measurement then? I was going to go for the XL as i'm an XL in schuberth, though i suspect i wear lids too loose as i get trouble with it lifting up on the blade at full bore acceleration...ggrrrr.

Actually, one of the reasons i've always had schuberths is the big gap between mouth/nose and chin bar.

Maybe it's not for me after all then!!

Well my Arai is marked up as 61-62, and my Shoei GT-Air is XL which they also say is 62, and those are both a perfect fit. I went up a size for the Bell based on what has been said on here, so I went for the XXL, but it's the front to back length which is the problem, it's just too short.

These (and their other bags) are fantastic for the money.

Those look really good and the prices look too good to be true. Do you know if you can fit a normal laptop in the 30l bag? Fairly sure thats a typical normal rucksack size?

Tempted on one of the bigger holdalls for sailing too!

Cheers

That bag looks great value, if i didn't have a kriega R30 i'd get one, and at over £100 cheaper than the kreiga too! I can fit my 15" laptop in my 30l bag.

Picked up one of Aldi's battery charger wotsits today, just need my sparky to pull his finger out and sort me a plug socket out there.

Try a Arai RX7 GP if you are looking for a lid with a bigger gap it's the only one I tried that I was happy with, not cheap but if you time it right when the shops are trying to get rid of old stock you can get a deal on them.

Great spot! It seems you can only do one purchase per account, so I just bought a set of M7RRs (120 front 190 rear) for £136.96 delivered on my account and a Scala G9x for £118.32 on my wife's account. £64 saved!
Sorry I never saw that post must have been while I was posting.
Multiple validations of deals that seem to good to be true, are always a bonus to born cynics like me.
I never got my fourty quid off my fairings.

I bought them through the other half but because we use the same PayPal it's one transaction per PayPal user. Gay.

Bugger - me and the Mrs have seperate Paypal accounts too (I have to hide my pointless purchases somehow!) so all was good.

I am. I'll update you all when they come back to me. We've had a bit of a conversation so far but nothing fixed yet.
Did you ever get anywhere with an ACU sticker.

Yes you can easily, and plenty more in that roll top rucksack.

The holdall is great. I have a yellow one - can't remember which size - 40L possibly. Use it on the bike all the time and its way better than bike specific dry bags as it rolls on the long edge meaning it's easier to pack and easier to find what you want!

Yep. Here's the reply from the ACU:

Sorry for the delay

Those helmet number you have given me are all ACU approved

Best regards

I'm still trying to work out how to get the stickers though. I can post my helmets to them and they can do it, but it's going to cost a fair bit, or I'm hoping that there's someone nearby that I can drive to. I'll update when I get more info. I'm hoping this email may be enough, as the ACU are very slow to reply

Thanks for the update. I'll get in touch with them too in that case as thankfully I'm only 10 mins from Rugby where it looks like they're based. I'll see if they will handover a second sticker too without seeing the helmet, if they do I will pop it in the post for you if you like.

I've emailed Bell Motorsport as well; just in case they are able to sort something out.

I doubt it, but worth a go.

It doesn't have to be Poundland prices to qualify, someone might appreciate the deals!
