Also would this be on a private circuit not some mashed up public place?

Oulton Park British SuperBikes is next weekend - Any other weekend would be ideal from a selfish perspective.

I can offer you a 12 year old 50k mileage 650 for the purposes of comparison if you're in Yorkshire...

It's probably not what you're looking for though smile

Good luck,
Tom

I'd be tempted with this if its in the midlands and a K6 GSXR 750 is good enough?

Since the 750 is as quick in a straight line as a first gen R1, I wouldn't class it as letting the side down. Also destroyed a SLS AMG the other day, so fast cars are no problem.

No gay 600 / 750's to enter ... end of subject tongue out

It's got to be a modern 1000cc ... and something with launch / anti-wheelie control / etc. as launching a modern 1000cc very fast is actually very hard to do.

Any random litre bike will pull a sub 7 sec 0-100, even with a crap start and a crap rider on board. Getting the "quoted" 0-100 times is well beyond most riders, unless they're used to doing full bore race starts.

Very few cars will achieve a sub 7 sec 0-100, and are very dependent on getting the power down effectively without too much wheelspin. Take a look at the recent Panigale vs 997 GT2RS video Chris Harris posted on here. Harris had difficulty in getting the GT2 off the line effectively.

Hi A4B,

As one of the founders of the UK Land Speed Racing Association I'd be very interested in bringing a bike along.
It would be a road bike obviously as the race one would be a little unfair! Would a ZZR14 complete with paniers be ok (obviously the paniers can be removed)

I cannot email for 24hrs though as I've just joined.
