That man's voice..... I want to like the program, I really do, but I can't stand listening to him.

Agree 100%. Main reason I think it annoys me. The content is pretty interesting but his voice is so annoying. He also managed to ruin multiple series of 'The Worlds greatest Motorcycle Trips' on the Travel Channel.

Just turned over. He sounds like Baldrick/Tony Rob.

His inflection is really weird during the voiceover bits. Which is strange because he seems to speak pretty normally in conversation.

Actually you're right there. He's fine when he's talking but his voiceover voice is ridiculous.

Always love seeing what Dougie lampkin can do on a trial bike! Some of those obstacle in the championship competition were nuts!

I can't comment on this evenings show

I can't bring myself to watch it after his last series. He was fking shyte and all due to his piss poor presenting skills and wind-up voice

It's like he did a take in a monotone and was told to try to make it a bit more interesting, so he went totally overboard in the other direction.

His delivery just rides a continuous wave of peaks and troughs - totally unnatural sounding.

Program was a bit crap even without that though. Doubt I'll watch again.

Only saw a few bits of the last series. In one bit the bloke managed to make jumping through fire sound boring, surprised it is back for another series...

I watched a few last series.

i found it all over the place with no real focused content.

no real reviews the ones I saw had custom in it (and I mean ste with flames and skulls) then jumping through fire. they also spent nearly 20 banging on about how to get a tank polished. it really is st.

as for the presenter, I've seen more personality in petri dishes, his voice doesn't annoy me but it's like he's presenting for news round. a lot of it seems patronising.

I'm just waiting for the iam ride out to pop in.

Is he "trying" to look like Charley Boorman?

The World Indoors is a bit Nuts!!! However the "Sections" Dougie put in for the presenters were more Beginners than Club Sections though.

I sort of "fell across" that show last night. I'd forgotten it was back on but was intrigued to see who Henry Cole is/what his background is after seeing how much he must have thrown at his collection of restored bikes on the show.

According to Wiki he's a substantially successful TV producer/Director with a huge string of stuff credited to him. OK, some of it is obscure Travel channel stuff but no doubt all of it more than paid the bills.

...and he does look like Boorman. So much that I confused Cole for Boorman on the grid at Oulton last year. rolleyes

He is a proper bellend to the point that I'd probably prefer Carlson doing the shows.

Having said that its ok bikes television if you have someone with you to talk about it rather than listen to what he says.

Oh and that "greatest motorcycle rides" or whatever it is actually happens to be more like "I'm a knob riding a bike somewhere that isn't the uk"

It makes me want to tour but I doubt I'd consider any of the routes he has taken

I thought the one where he did route 66 was quite interesting, more for the quirky people he met along the way.

He did manage to get lost though and at one point was actually on a different highway altogether!
