There's a recent Jay Leno Garage episode which features a small contemporary Jap to be converted to Cafe Racer specs.

OK, her you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5r6rhQiT-k

Not about Cafe Racers, but very nicely done: The VinCati bike.

A bit too overstated for my liking.

Very sad to see this. Owner told me the bike is in this state - and outside the house - for quite a while.

Looks like a perfect basis for a cafe Racer!

Bit clonky maybe.

Great flow.

A bit rough but hits my spots.

As does this one . . . even more.

Eastern Europe-ish.

I could go on and on.

One of these passed me the other day, sounded great! Took me back to 1980 when I bunked a day off work and went to Slater Brothers and rode one...

When I came back after 20 mins, Richard Slater gave me the keys to a Jota and said "there is a full tank, take it for a couple of hours" The rest is history...

The 2 pots make a great sound as well.
