Really? The line under the tank/seat/tailpeice is all wrong, which is surely the point?Like the front fairing and I'm sure the owner likes it, which is the main thing.
I love the Gulf colour scheme.
Each to their owwn
One of these passed me the other day, sounded great! Took me back to 1980 when I bunked a day off work and went to Slater Brothers and rode one...
When I came back after 20 mins, Richard Slater gave me the keys to a Jota and said "there is a full tank, take it for a couple of hours" The rest is history...

The 2 pots make a great sound as well.
Ridden both the Lav SFC 750 and the Monty 500, almost bought the SFC750 from Slaters many years ago. One test ride put me off. They're both heavy, slow steering, vibrate badly at high revs and have very heavy clutches, even with a common mod to make them lighter. Much preferred my 78 SS900 Desmo to the SFC which was roughly the same price back then. Though I did end up buying a couple Laverda triples from Slaters.
Here's a pic of my café racer, not quite finished in this pic, but it is now, bar the usual niggles that crop up in use.

Saw this on Bike Exif.com today. Tonti frame, Griso engine and V7 bodywork. Effectively a V7 on steroids. Though I've never ridden a V7, I like the way it looks, this just goes one better with more power.
Thanks, it is a bit tattier than the photo shows, brakes need an overhaul, it leaks oil and has a few electrical issues (well it is a 70s italian bike after all!).
I think the exhuast is a Dr John who was quite famous for campaigning racing Guzzis in the States, the tailpipe is a supertrapp which is ugly and will have to go, probably to be replaced with a reverse cone mega.

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago, genuine mk 1, always fancied one needs some work, plan is to make it rideable and then worry about the cosmetics.

One of the best-looking bikes ever. Especially head on. Proper "100mph standing still" design. (pic) (/pic)
My MkII (bought new) is the only bike I regret selling.

I was shopping for a mk2 because mk1's were being advertised for silly money (and I had missed the boat on Jotas and bevel Ducati's)But this one came up on e bay at the right price because it needs some tlc, managed to contact the previous owner who had it for 16 years, most of the history is from the hard shoulder of various motorways, On one occassion he dismantled it into pieces large enough to fit into the back of an Audi A4 and continued his journey! My MkII (bought new) is the only bike I regret selling.
Still I like a challenge.
