I spoke to him, but he informed me he's already been "fostered" so was good on a place to stay! I can't really offer much else, but will keep following the news...and twitter, now that I have an account, and if I can help I will. And when you put him up and become his best mate, dont forget it was my idea n get me some free tickets and motorbikes etc
I remember Sean and his brother Jason from when Jason rode in the Speed Triple challenge (won it) many years ago, that I was connected to. Just really nice fellas, and a nice family and both great riders.
I was really sad to hear fo this incident back when it happened, but feared Sean would get caught up in this sort fo stuff, I have been to Dubai twice, but had contacts there foer many years. Ive seen on my two visits the more sinister side of the country, I am afraid, and heard plenty of similar tales from the people who live there.
My sympathies with Sean and both families in this tragedy and stay strong.

What a terrible situation to be in. I remember meeting Colin Schiller at a show once and he said 'we have got this young guy who is top draw, mega, mega quick, testing for the mag, you wait and see'
Always loved watching him race and the paddock is a far more boring place without him.

Why do people go there, it's a feudal country pretending it's civilised. I went there many years ago with work. NOTHING would entice me to go there voluntarily, and under no circumstances would I take my wife there.
If you think Sean Emmetts story is bad, try this:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-233814...

not the kind of effect we'd want though !

I don't believe this and I think its the Dubai authorities making up an excuse to divert attention from the own useless slack system.

Former racer Sean Emmett 'returns' after Dubai death probe
A former superbike racer who found himself at the centre of a murder probe in Dubai after his wife fell from a balcony has said his case is closed and he will be returning to the UK.
Sean Emmett was unable to leave Dubai after police confiscated his passport following his wife's death in February.
Earlier Mr Emmett, of Addlestone, Surrey, tweeted he expected it to be returned within two weeks.
He said the British Embassy had been notified by the Dubai chief prosecutor.
On Twitter, Mr Emmett wrote: "Woohoo!!! The Embassy have had a call from Chief Prosecutor to say my case is fully closed now. My passport will be returned in due course!"
Mr Emmett said the news came exactly nine months after he arrived in Dubai for what he thought would be a 48-hour stopover as the couple returned to the UK at the end of their honeymoon.
He wrote: "I'll keep you all posted on getting my passport, should be 2 weeks apparently. Then home, see my kids and write my book."
Abbie Emmett, 27, died after falling from the window of the couple's room at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel on 19 February.
They had been in Dubai on a 48-hour stopover after their wedding and honeymoon in Cape Town, South Africa.
Her death was recorded as suicide and Dubai Police said at the time they did not believe there were any suspicious circumstances.
But later the Dubai media reported that prosecutors were investigating whether Mrs Emmett was murdered.
Mr Emmett, who won 19 British Superbike events during his career, was arrested when he went to a police station to complete paperwork relating to his wife's death.
His passport was confiscated and he was fined 2,000 dirham (£350) for drinking alcohol without a licence.
His passport was then not returned leaving him unable to return to the UK.
He was never arrested or charged over her death.
