I have no idea how easy to fit they would be to a Mito but KR1S wheels are smart ,in keeping with your project, reasonably light and not that difficult to get hold of mate...

RGV250 wheels? There's a rear on egay at the moment for 50 quid. Guess you don't want to go too big for the power?!

Kr1 has 18 inch rear wheel though unless this is not a problem

Kr1s wheels are nice yeah but definitely don't want an 18inch rear. I'll have a look at the rgv wheels.

Spoke to Dave Swarbrick today too, just wanted to see if he could fab a pipe when the time comes and he seems happy to do it, was either him or Gibson but with Gibson being miles away and them not actually being made by the original people anymore I think swarbrick is the better option.

This is something I'm willing to spend a bit of cash on and get it done properly, I'm sure I could cobble something together out of the pipe I had for the kart but it needs to be right. Anyway it'll be a good while till it's ready for that but I like to have a bit of a plan.

Maybe that's because Pete Gibson retired to Australia some 10 years ago.

I have a set of Swarbricks for my TZR. They never get used though due to the massive hole at 10K. One of the reasons why you never saw them on the YPM grid, only Gibsons or Jollymoto's

Funny that I've not heard a bad thing about them. Anyway gibson obviously aren't what they were either and jollymoto are no good for a custom pipe.

I've actually done something with this today!

Gave the swinger a good clean, then nitromorsed it, got fed up and shot blasted it instead. Will get it powder coated when the time comes, hopefully do the wheels at the same time. Also gave the frame a good clean and set about polishing up the spars. Now I can order new headstock bearings etc and finish it off smile

Doesn't look like much but it's taken the best part of the day and I'm bloody knackered.

As I'm skint from Xmas and NYE I'm just trying to do stuff that only costs me time and not money...It might not look any different in the pics but I spent some more time on the frame and it's come up a lot better.

As the aluminium was anodized I was being a bit daft trying to polish/rub through it, so stripped it off and almost started again. Lots of time with wet and dry, finishing pads, wrags and polishing mops. Still ain't perfect but I'm happy to tick it off the list now where before it wasn't great. Also fitted new steering head bearings, that'll do for today.

Ryan,
Avoid the twostroke shop at all costs. A quick Google search will show a history of fraud, deception, insolvency, deceit and downright lies. Engines that have been supplied were usually cobbled together with used and worn out parts.
The owner, Steve Rothwell is being sued by many for theft or non delivery of paid for parts and has had his house repossessed.
The fact he's still trying to palm himself off to those who don't know better is a disgusting indictment of the man and his morals.
Have a look at the AF1 Aprilia forums and see for yourself.
