Birdy wants dunlop too, if his grand plan of pinching the bmw UK support from Hawk doesnt happen he is talking of letting MD loose on the PBM GP bike in the senior and running him & hutch on kwak for all the other classes
Surely the PBM/BMW thing is a dead duck now Kiyo has signed for another year with Stuart Hicken?Hawk ?? sprinter1050 said:

Also i'm pretty sure bmw will of invested to keep kiyo where he is for another year.

After all the Brinksmanship last year for MD to run his own team, I cant see him riding for Birdy.
He didnt do that by choice. The family were in deep deep money trouble (Robert re mortgaged the house shortly before his death and the banks were about to foreclose) And MD asked Neil Tuxworth for more money than mcpint is on, honda understandably said no, he left and was going to work as a builder for a year to help pay everything off, until BMW came along with a big £££ deal.
He doesnt really run it himself either, his Stocker is owned by Hunts, the SBK is BMW owned and the 600 is actually a PTR bike 9he owns it but they look after it mechanically)
MD will ride wherever the money goes, simple as. Especially if he gets trick kit like melandri's wsbk BMW again.
As for the previous q about why BMW would go to birdy, its simple economics, PB does everything properly, and he has the budget to do it right, Hawk are a tiny team and unfortunately the lack of £££ has left Kiyo with quite a few DNF's (snapped crank at cadwell due to over mileage motor etc etc)If he had been on that BMW in a financially sound team he would be leading the championship at this point.

The tiny team has obviously had financial help to allow them to sign kiyo for 2015, for bmw to then pull the plug and allow pbm to run the bmw's would be crazy after they've helped secure kiyo for another year.
As ive said, Birdy doesnt need BMW support to build a pair and race them, its pocket change compared to spending 850k a year on brembo carbon discs and pads for his GP bikes..... He did make an offer, reportedly with BMW blessing, to Kiyo, but Kiyo knew he wouldnt get the kind of atmosphere he wants at PBM and he couldnt exactly take Steve Hicken away as his crew chief either...Lincsblokey said:

bsb rules to stop 1 make domination? easier to get funding rather than 4 kawasakis?

Was under the impression that the TT Superbike was a fresh build rather than anything ex-WSB. Magazine article somewhere. A girlie built the motor IIRC.George29 said:
I know PBM wanted to get into road racing next year. With Hutchy being released by FFX Yamaha it makes sense.
He's signed http://www.britishsuperbike.com/news/hutchinson-se...

I was reffering to his GP one, which will no doubt come as part of the second team
Would it? Unless he got another major sponsor for the 2nd team then he wouldn't really need it. theshrew said:
