No, No he wasnt.
OK so Dave Morris aside. Michael was the first official BMW std and the first that still resembled a std product. The Super Single was neither a factory entry nor close to the production bike. However full credit to the Morris family for their achievements.

Be good for him if Bridewell can have another year with SMR, I think hes ridden pretty well this year. certainly a good no.2 rider now.
He's off to Tyco.Note...not Tyco 'Suzuki'.
FWIW this mornings MCN headlines TAS BMW for Roads & BSB. No riders confirmed but expect William & Guy to be retained for the roads.
The M Dunlop issue seems to lie with the fact that he had a 1year contract with Hawk not directly with BMW. Hawk had factory support for BSB & the roads. However it seems that hawk have been cast adrift too and that they will once again paddle their own canoe.
MD announced it on sat eve at a presentation for Sportsman of the Year in his home town that he was not being retained for 2015.
His initial take on it was "I have 11 x TT Replicas on my mantelpiece, only 3 of them were on a BMW" intimating that he is the winner not the bike.

Even the frame and all of the engine parts? So much for homologation and a series designed to be about 'spiced-up' standard production road bikes
Frame is the SP model frame, Lowes/Kiyo used stock blade frames, the engines are based on the SP model too, so slightly different bottom end and the top end is changed as per BSB tech regs.graphene said:

Ah, I thought SP was mainly just a normal Blade with some Ohlins and Brembo goodies and perhaps a few engine mods. The only detail I have heard was an interview with Tuxworth, and him saying De Costa was running the retained old 'Samsung' bikes at the select rounds.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
