I'm doing the one on Monday evening mate. Currently all 8 forecasts I check look good, including the important one that's always right. I'm doing it regardless though, enough is enough. Anyone from here going? It's 9 fking months since I rode a bike, it's gona take a few laps to ease myself in.

So a little write up..

My first ride of anything in 9 months, first trackday on the RSV.. Bike was flawless apart from the brake and clutch lever adjuster pins, which I found had somehow wound themselves all the way back into the lever twice during the session, meaning the levers were coming all the way back to the bars before biting. I'll be using locktite next time.

Same couldn't be said for me, many small mistakes were made, in particular a few sloppy missed downshifts. Worse than that, I shifted the wrong way twice (it's got a race pattern shifter on it now and I'm still having to think about it too much), but I knew what I'd done as soon as I released the clutch just a tiny bit, so no harm done, I hope.

Worst of all from me was that I caught myself target fixating on the guy braking in front, and totally missing my own braking & turn in point, happened 2 or 3 times, I'm sure I'll learn not to do that pretty quickly.

Having said all that my pace felt good, did lots of overtaking and generally felt like I was being held up in the twisties. There were one or 2 pretty quick guys there though, who made me realise I can brake a hell of a lot later than I was doing.

What a great night with perfect weather though, and the RSV is an animal on track, so nice to be able to wring its neck 100% of the time without worrying.

Not got many pics but heres a few..

it did sound lovely, I could hear it before I seen it, sounded dead lazy, dirty and grunty.

Great session today. Was gutted I was just a spectator, but my 7yr old daughter loved her first track day.
She said she now knows why I used to wear ear plugs on the bike.

Great catching up with moanthebairns, was pulling a good few out braking manoeuvres into Duffus and was looking good on the Daytona.

I'd post pics, but they came out even worse than Liam's talents....

what a great day, I was having that much fun on track and at the "training school" that I missed my lunch and was powered by red bull and fags.

I have broken my nail though, its sort of coming unstuck from the finger and I have a nice bit of road rash on my bum area from coming off after acting like a tit.

i'll post a wee review up when I get the photos back

nice to see you johney cracking limp btw and congratulations on not being a fat bd anymore.

RIGHT, when are we having another one?

no excuses, I have no more booked, therefor nothing to look forward to....

Prolapse - come on im sure you wont be as st this time, you look great in an orange bib anyway
leighz - you never post on here, get your arse on, have you fixed the gsxr yet, you need to do more than 10 laps come on
v60marko - your a seasoned pro now, well better than prolapse, when you coming back up
johney 50 - we will let you off, you do have a broken back
McKean - wtf man, get your arse up once, you're local to me, or at least you work in the same sector and town I do in, stop going to tracks abroad and take me up in your van/trailer.
that guy with Glasgow with the R1 - come on....

lets go to knockhill.....

I was just joking smile i'll let you off, as to be frank that's an epic line up, never knew you had all of them coming up. But it would be nice to see you up there if you can make it or on the Scottish run out. I'm a lot more bearable in the flesh, honestly...

Just trying to get the Scottish section on here to meet up every once and a while, as they are all hermits. Be nice if we got a few regulars together and maybe went down south together, like the rest of PH does.
