The "official" Knockhill track day thread 2014

how did you find it In reverse gwm?
shame the novices only got 3 laps the first session, a bit pants, that said our first section was cut short due to your mates engine pissing its guts everywhere
Classic knockhill with the weather, rain in the air, a dry session then damp/grease, then dry, then damp, then soaking

We (the novices) got lucky with the weather. Last session was my quickest then for the inters and advanced in just got worse...shame the novices only got 3 laps the first session, a bit pants, that said our first section was cut short due to your mates engine pissing its guts everywhere

The hairpin took some getting used to, that's for sure. But overall liked it, a lot more of the track was falling away from you, so really down to confidence more than anything to stay on it and brake late. The last session the track was actually really dry, I thought it'd be much greasier. shame the novices only got 3 laps the first session, a bit pants, that said our first section was cut short due to your mates engine pissing its guts everywhere

I fking loved the hairpin, it was the up hill sections I didn't like, I struggled physically with them, i need to beef up or at least start exercising. still not decided on it, 2 greasy and 1 wet session wasn't enough time for me to properly learn the track
It kept changing, no idea how davie managed it on his first track day so quick, he must be a natural.

I must not go fast enough to notice the greasy-ness then, felt super dry to me most of the day. That's on the Pirelli Angel tyres.

Roadhawk Ride. Decent camera but expensive for what it is.http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=N1VLjkR5Plo&featu...
Out brake me at the start. Who was the guy on the black GSX-R? He seemed to be passing everyone by the last session.
Do you reckon you need a 1,000cc to keep up in inters/advanced?
