Done the reverse today, NEVER AGAIN. Well that might be a bit harsh, but certainly wont be paying £170 odd for a reverse session. Just don't really get on with the reverse.
In the morning I could gel with it at all, the quickest time I managed all morning was a 1m03.9.
Dennis Hobbs took me out in the van and showed me the proper lines, managed to get a few 61s and 62s according to the lap time app but it was fking hard going. Love the hairpin in reverse, chicane and duffus is quite good but fk me clarks/hislops is fking horrible in reverse, its bloody impossible.
Add in my oil leakage issues and the 675 being down on power, bogging down (fk knows what that is, exup again maybe) and it was a bit of a meh day.

Busy? One of the pics it looks like someone proper trashed their bike in the gravel too. Many offs?

You only realise how steep it is when you see a photo.
The weather was good, there was only 20 odd but just don't think ill bother with reverse again.
Hated it. Loads of people crashed during the day, 3 in the first hour about 8 in total.
Most of them at clarks.

Learn to appreciate it and make it a goal to get better and better at that section. Think about your riding and keep trying to learn. Also don't be afraid to try different things/lines. Like going in deeper and squaring the corner off might reduce the time you're on the negative camber or might allow you to actually get on the gas harder and earlier rather than waiting to follow some inside line around to the exit.
If you only ever ride tracks or corners you 'like', you'll never progress. Nothing good ever came easy.

The corner is fine its the entry, its fking horrible. If you've ridden it you'll understand.
I'll do it again but not at £170 and if I do ill be taking a van up not riding up.

So experiment with different entry lines, throttle points etc. it looks like the entry goes from flat to off camber downhill left which must make the bike feel like it wants to get away from you. The corner is fine its the entry, its fking horrible. If you've ridden it you'll understand.

So maybe try tipping in later, giving up some of the early entry but go in later and turn faster so you're coming off the top in a more upright position, pointing down the hill and hard on the gas. Remember that sometimes it pays to give a little on the entry to gain a lot on the exit. Just because it's what others do doesn't make it right. You might even find that giving a bike a couple of meters on the entry actually makes passing easier as you're on the gas harder and earlier while they're still holding back and still turning.

It was good, absolutely shattered. I've been quicker but still enjoyed it.
I need to join a gym or at least exercise, I found it really hard going today.
That's me for this year though, the Daytona is needing a decent fresh up after being used all year and I'm going to make it track focused.

rebuild the brakes,
change the sprockets from original,
get a new rear shock,
get it actually set up for me,
and track rubber rather than road.

Cool man good stuff. I find a full day hard going too, and I work out 4-5 times a week, so don't feel too bad I need to join a gym or at least exercise, I found it really hard going today.
