Iam sure that panigale was at kielder today, recognise the plate
The back tyre was worn edge to edge, it looked like it was owned by someone who uses it properly!

I rode Kielder for the first time the other day, what a brilliant road. I did wonder if there'd be some nice kit in the car parks by the dam, wish I'd rustled up some mates and gone, I'd love to see a Panigale on the road, especially one with Termignonis like the one it seems we both saw today.

I've only a couple of short rides this weekend :-(

Late on yesterday I stopped for fuel, just as I was waiting to pull out of the station this van decided to try and hump a jet ski. st myself I had visions of it flying into the side of me luckily it stayed where it was just shoved the jet ski into the motor home.

Today the Mrs went shopping with step daughter today so thought I'd take advantage. So had a nice ride on some ok roads then over the bit rubbish Cat n Fiddle and back on some more ok roads.

The wheels on the camper and the err VW Camper look the same no?

Just been for a one-night trip to Wales with some friends. What an awesome time - incredible roads, constant overtaking, no police and beautiful weather. Couldn't ask for more. My Blackbird behaved impeccably. Just glad I changed the front brake pads at 11pm the night before... one was down to the backing plate. Oops.

Did you get into a dice with the Noble then...?!

Nice pics..

The noble is owned by a friend of mine. He couldn't come on his bike (Street Triple) because he came to Wales pretty much straight from doing his day job at the nurburgring. Lucky bd...

As I said in another thread, you'd have to be incredibly committed to keep up with it through sections with tighter corners. On sweeping, better sighted sections I didn't do so badly.

First 160 miles yesterday, rushing to get to its first service. Very little traffic for an Easter weekend.

That's a big old beastie! You picked a good weekend to get the miles on it. My KTM and Aprilia finally got back on the road yesterday so I'm hoping to get out and about once the F1 race is done.

Yes, it's a big beast alright, but despite being a wee bit heavier than the old air cooled one, it feels much more nimble. It's a bit of a cliché, I know, but the weight disappears once you're on the move.

BMW have always been pretty good at making their big GSs seem light on their feet once on the move. Do you have big plans for it? Going off to munch some continents on it?

Thinking of what new bike to get at the beginning of next year when my license unrestricts (7th December, I'm counting the days), did an insurance quote as if it were next year. 20 years old, 2 years no claims, had my license for 2 years. Got a quote of £1483 fully comp on a new Ducati Hyperstrada with Social & commuting up to 15,000 miles a year. I am now a member of the IAM and their insurance company says they will beat any quote. If they could give me insurance at less than that next year I'll be laughing all the way to the bank on my brand new Ducati Hyperstrada!

EDIT: That is if said Ducati could put up with being used every day all year round in all weather without breaking.

My friend fired up his KR1 today for the first time...bearing in mind he bought it dismantled in several crates, which had sat under a tarp for years in the chaps garden and everything was heavilly corroded, its turned out rather well..

Still a bit to do but the hard graft is done.

The familys 1957 Norton Dominator, uncle used to race this bike until he unfortunately passed away, I was never fortunate enough to meet him (born too late). Currently restoring from the ground up, not much left to do, be a beautiful show bike once it's done.
Stunning bike, race it, don't show it !

I am sure uncle would prefer that !
