The familys 1957 Norton Dominator, uncle used to race this bike until he unfortunately passed away, I was never fortunate enough to meet him (born too late). Currently restoring from the ground up, not much left to do, be a beautiful show bike once it's done.
I am sure uncle would prefer that !
Burst the bubble on the LC tank earlier, this come up end of last year, suspected there was a pin hole leak in the tank causing the paint to bubble as its fairly rusty in places inside...I was expecting it to contain some fuel but nothing...there is some light staining underneath but im thinking perhaps it was bad prep..?
Anyway, im collecting a refurbed, lined and painted tank tonight, so I sloshed some engine oil around in this one and stored it away, ill get it fixed at some stage in the future..
Also fitted my new switchgear, unfortunately thats showed up the brake lever is letting that side of the bike down now, so ill HAVE to get a new lever..
Everything in, over the last 18 months,I think the LC has cost around the same as my spankers new GSXR1000 back in 2007 and I still havent quite finished..

Been a weekend of getting stuff painted
Got a couple of pics from my mate who's painting my Velocette Viper tank. It looks like he's done a cracking job!
And the old mans wheels for his Enfield project have been painted and built too. Means he can get it rolling which is a huge milestone in any project!
Dunno why the photo's upside down, don't spose it matters with pictures of wheels though.

Great pics as always Pod. The return on investment will still be there in a few years time if you decide to sell it. If it were mine there is no way I could it's far too nice to let someone else have it
Thanks mate...No, your quite right, it will be an investment in some years but I bought it to keep, use and enjoy.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
