I took my ninja for its first real ride of the year and it hit 20,000 miles today. Not bad seeing as I got it 3 years ago with 8 k on the clock and have ran other bikes as well as this.

Remembered how much I enjoyed riding it, the brakes are still st, worryingly st when you are used to radial brakes and its a bit less focused than current 600's but a great all rounder.

it was an eventful ride, I seen a crashed Mercedes, it managed to go off the road and into a hedge. the police were just attending, on the same stretch road within 50 m's of this a woman in a golf pulled out in front of me from a side junction and shat herself so stopped right bang in my path, my god it was close. It rained and blew a lot.

oh and there was the moment with a set of lights. Im sat there waiting for 5 minutes in a tiny little town with temporary lights up. Nothing happening, no cars coming. Thinking I could see the other set of lights and no queue of cars I thought "hmmm must be broken" or hasn't clocked my bike as they sometimes don't, fk it. Got round the corner, oh fk they are digging up the road. Huge red neck.

New bike time. Bought this to use through the winter as the VFR was smashed up. Well pleased with it for £800, even came with panniers and a full tank of fuel.

Keep an eye on the forums! It looks better in the pictures as it's a bit scruffy but nothing drastic and mechanically it's perfect. A bit of time and paint will clean it up nicely.

Cheers, yeah it sounds interesting actually. It's a gear driven cam setup v4 and the small carbon helps. I like to kid myself it's a poor mans ducati. Done lots of little faffy things to try and pull the shape out a bit as well, but it's a bit of an old hector. Still. It owes me 570 quid purchase price plus another 400 on all the bits ive needed to get. I've rebuilt quite a lot of it.
