4k services (book is something daft like 3,750 so I picked an easy number).
Three chain & sprocket sets with a sprocket carrier bearing every time.
Endless tyres & brake pads.
Front discs after I warped them due to seized callipers.
Fork seals, twice as the pattern parts were st & lasted a week.
New seat after the foam collapsed.
Fuel filter because it blocked & limited the bike to 50-55mph.
TPS, broke.
Oil cooler replaced when the original cracked (normal fault on these around 50k).
Two sets of steering bearings, last done about 88k.
Quite a few levers from throwing it on the floor.

That's about it really, it just tends to work & work.
Have you had it from new ?
No. I got it at 7 years old with a massive 7.5k miles done.

I forgot to answer gwm earlier, no shocks changed. They are a weak spot as it seems you know, but it already had xgayr ohlins on when I got it and theyve never given an issue.
That's bloody good going then especially as Suzuki has a poor rep for quality. If that was a car you would of had a lot more bills than that. yes

My Suzuki GS650GT is 34 year old with nearly 67000 miles on the clock and sailed through its MOT (only needed a brake light bulb), she starts and will still hit 110+, not bad for an old girl.

If you click on the pic, you can read what happened last time I did a wheelie on an LC in the 80s..I didnt even realise they was trying to stop me until they pulled up behind me, at home..happy days..

Awesome! I remember that Jacket and bike like yesterday- I gotta say like the bellypan on that LC - One for yours?

Stopped off at Silverstone on the way home from work - MM said he'd sort out us with a seamless gearbox for the VFR......

Podman, you must be around the 50 years of age doing a wheelie on a 350cc 30 plus year old bike.

People half your age on a 1000cc bike can't do that.
Not quite up to your standard & im heading that way ...47 next birthday..looks a bit scary in writing but on the bike, I dont feel any older than I did when I was 16..another great thing about bikes.

Yes 996, belly pan is on the agenda for it..seamless box? Why dont you just ask them to swap the whole motor over for an RCVs? I bet it would be better on fuel anyway!

Not been out on the LC for a few weeks and getting withdrawal symptons..with a family holiday looming, it was today or not for another couple of weeks.

Took it out of the garage, looked at the sky, pushed it back into the garage, gave it a clean n fettle, 10 mins later, the sun come out, pushed it back out of the garage, fetched my lid...and it pissed down..

I wanna see a wheelie picture with Blue smoke coming out of the exhausts.
As good as it gets from myself and my friends phone last night...the LC certainly loved the cooler air last night.

I don't think Simon will be instructing his lawyers to take legal action if a sweaty sock has a tattoo of one of his drawings done.

Ya nobber.

I can just see his lawyers turning up with an injunction and a cheese grater.
